• Dolphins rookie RB Daniel Thomas battled injuries and didn't show a whole lot in his first season, but the club is still behind the player it traded up to draft in 2011. "Daniel is going to be a fine player. I believe in him," GM Jeff Ireland said at the Senior Bowl. "He's tough, he's strong, he learned the pass protections really quick. He's got to keep his feet in the ground when he's making contact." The Dolphins were 11th in the league in rushing, thanks to a breakout campaign by Reggie Bush, but we hear they still might draft another back to add depth to the unit. Short-yardage back Lex Hilliard is a restricted free agent.

Part ways with Lex and find a better option than DT. He runs like he weighs 190 lbs.

Lex is going no place and I think you can hold off on RB for at least a year.

I've heard we also might add a QB, WR, TE, a couple linemen, a DT, DE, some LB's, maybe a corner, and a safety or two.

I think if Richardson is there at 9 it would irresponsible not to take a hard look.
We have a few larger needs than RB on this team, but I played HS Football with Emmitt Smith at Escambia in Pensacola. Trent Richardson broke a lot of his records there, this guy is the REAL DEAL. It would be tempting if he is there!

Well I heard Chris Polk (5'11" 224 lbs) didn't do himself any favors at the senior bowl and there was some talk that he may have dropped himself to a last day pick.

Terrance Ganaway from Baylor (6'0" 241 lbs) is a possibility and Brandon Bolden from Mississippi (5'11" 220 lbs) ran really well in the senior bowl and showed some power. Bolden had nearly 1000 yards last year for Mississippi...he'd be a nice late round draft pick I think.

No way we take a RB in the first round, even if Richardson is there. To many other needs and we already have Bush and Thomas. No one can give Thomas crap about last year. He was not the featured back. He showed a lot of promise with the limited carries he had. Oh yeah, how did Ingram do??

Im ok with Bush and DT. I would be pumped with Richardson but at 8 or 9 we got better options. The only players I definately dont let past are Blackmon and Luck.

As much as I despise the man, richardson is the one player other than Luck in this draft who has the potential to be a legendary HOF-type player. He could BE an Emmitt Smith/oj/Jim Brown type RB and he merits a look if he is there at 9 and we have our QB, but he won't be. Some other team knows what the guy could wind up becoming and he will be gone, regardless of the nouveau wannabe fad "conventional wisdom" GARBAGE out there that says nowadays that RB's are not important, they're a dime a dozen, they get hurt too much, and they are not worth a high pick.

Yeah, well, Emmit, in the Pro's had the luxory of having an all-pro line in front of him...the entire line.

His YBC were ridiculous, and YAC were far from being great...... I'm just saying........

We can't pass on Richardson, he's an impact player. Although Bush is an impact player @ RB for us now, he has durability issues. As does Thomas after this season. Richardson won't be there @9 but I'm all for taking a RB for depth on draft day.
