Several months after undergoing spinal fusion surgery in the wake of a neck injury early last season, Dolphins linebacker Koa Misi still has not been cleared by doctors to return to football activities, leaving his football status in question.

Misi saw a doctor in the past two weeks and plans to see one again before the start of camp in late July, according to a source. He remains hopeful about being cleared to play this season, but it’s impossible for anyone to know when he will be cleared.

If this is even a question at this point in his career...talking about a NECK injury and the position he plays....Misi should retire. Dude needs to think about life after football. Even best case scenario doesn't sound that great right now for him

Misi just needs to retire while he still has some semblance of his health left. If he strives to get back out on the field, and actually makes it, he could end up hurt even worse to where it affects the rest of his life and his family's life.

Just one of a few players on our roster we can't count on. Add Pouncey to that list too. Wish we'd move on from injury prone guys. Enough is enough.

No way he can play with a cervical fusion as a LB. Peyton Manning got away with it because his line kept him upright. Misi might be able to go through practice with minimal hitting, but the moment he puts his shoulder and head down for a tackle (who is likely trying to bowl him over) he is done. The sooner the team accepts his fragile situation the better. We can not count on Misi, not even as a backup.

Best wishes to Misi, guy is a true pro. He gave everything he had on the field and to the Dolphins. I know he's not a huge fan favorite, but he deserves every ounce of respect from Dolphins fans. He's also earned the opportunity to try to lace them up once more.

Yeeeaaah....you better hang it up misi. You don't want to end up taking pain killers just to get up and do small, every day tasks buddy.
