Heres my mock:
1. Jake Long, OT, Michigan
We are yet to sign an offensive tackle and Jake is our best option, only 2 sacks against and only 2 penalties in his entire collegiate career so he doesn't make many mistakes. He is versatile and can play both the leftside and rightside. He'll also help the offense develop.
2a. Brandon Flowers, CB, Virginia Tech
The best all around corner in the draft, great ball skills, can support in the run. Doesn't have great speed but makes up for it with his coverage skills. He will be solid across from Will Allen.
2b. Cliff Avril, OLB, Purdue
Mix of great size and speed and perfect for the 3-4. Will one day replace the aging Jason Taylor.
3a. John David Booty, QB, USC
Great size and a safe pick at QB, 2b will not have henne or flacco available so he is the best option to give Beck some competition. He'll never be a superstar but he makes good decisions with the football which is what this team needs.
3b. (compensatory selection) Brad Cottam, TE, Tennessee
I personally believe we'll recieve compensation from our loses in free agency last year. Cottam has a big body and great speed and would be a gift here. Parcells loves drafting first day tight ends and Cottam can block.
4. Jonathon Goff, ILB, Vanderbilt
Goff had a solid combine showing great speed for a man his size. He can be groomed to play in the middle in our 3-4 and has the speed that Parcells covets.
6. Adrian Arrington, WR, Michigan
Needed to fit in a wideout and Arrington has a good mix of size and speed. A project.
7. David Roach, S, TCU
Had a solid week at the combine and I really liked what I saw, seems to be as complete a package as you'll find in the seventh round.
Thoughts??
