Dolphins most interesting F/A pickup so far is

I agree i trust sabans judgement in saying he wanted to bring in a qb after the draft to develop and this is it...Saban tried to recruit this guy at LSU i read somewhere.

22 TDS
6 INTS
56 % completion ratio [thats horrible for college...should be like a 66% but oh well]

Numbers dont lie he wasnt that horrible but me being a Miami fan i saw him play many times and he never looking comfortable in the pocked but...Saban must of seen something we havnt

The bad completion percentage goes to his inconsistancy and bonehead throws at times. Now, if he doesn't improve, he will not be able to play an NFL game EVER.

i see a few years of nfl europe in berlin's future

Totally agree. That is probably the ideal thing Berlin should do to try to show what he can do.

I don't see Brock making the 53 man roster, but I can see Saban sneaking him onto the practice squad just to have a year to work with him.

wrong...most interest udfa pickup so far definitely has to be

sorry but Brock Berlin i think the guys gonna end up making the roster and saban really wants to develop a guy...the guy has the tools with an above average throwing arm and above average accuracy right now but he makes poor decisions...he needs to work on that and maybe in 2 years we could have a qb on our hands...or maybe in 2 monthes this guy will be cut so you never know

:roflmao: ..........Brock Berlin will be lucky to make the practice squad.

IMO Berlin and Alex Holmes are the interesting pickups.

I like Brock and think he could turn into a solid long term backup for us. Saban wanted him out of HS, and can now groom him. Shove him on the PS for a year then send him over here to NFLE.

Holmes was overshadowed at USC by Byrd... I watched USC a lot last year and Holmes is a very solid guy that can block and catch. H-Back??

I'm not sticking up for Brock Berlin but the title of the thread was "most interesting" not potentially best F/A pickup. I think it's interesting that Saban wants to take a look at this guy in the NFL. What harm can it do? If anything it will just light a fire under Sage to make him play better to keep his job.

perhaps it is all part of the master plan--saban will trade him to the Pats and get him to talk Brady into coming down to Miami and joining us-- he will then go on to being starter for the Pats--that would even our teams up a bit dont you think

ALL teams take at least 4 qb's into camp. I doubt if the qb situation will look any different come sept.; a.j., gus, sage.

I totally agree with the negative comments made about Brock Berlin.

If the Dolphins were strongly intending on developing a QB which had the abilities to compete for a roster spot with even Sage Rosenfels, there were several in the draft and some UFAs that already have signed with other teams.

Coach Saban is probably content with Feeley & Frerotte & Rosenfels this upcoming season. But who knows, it's too early in the offseason, maybe a trade, another FA or UFA signing is to come.
