It seems through five games this season, the Miami Dolphins offense is fairly easy to figure out! If you’re looking to win football games, then the ideal model for success is to run the football.
The two lowest attempts to rush the football as a team have come against the NY Jets (23 rushes) and the NE Patriots (21 rushes). Now I’m not saying that this model is 100% accurate, but the numbers really lean in this direction. In both losses, the Dolphins have rushed for under 100 yards as a team, while in the three wins the Fins are averaging 134 rushing yards a game.
In my opinion, the Green Bay game was the perfect mix of Ronnie Brown & Ricky Williams, with Chad Henne to Brandon Marshall opening up the options! Chad is a young quarterback in games played, but is getting more comfortable in what he’s seeing and reacting instead of over-thinking each situation.
If the running game continues to be solid, it will only make him better and limit his exposure to negative plays. Always remember that victory can only happen when you execute and get your best players involved…that’s Brown, Williams and Marshall…and YOU can pick the order!
