I actually believe that there is a lot of talent there. Having the top 3 Draft picks come in recovering from surgery was not a great start. Joe also believes in the Green Bay system that deliberately develops the rookies only when they are ready, but has a much higher success percentage over a period of time.
We got to see some of the fruits of Joe's approach with Olivier Vernon, Lamar Miller and Rishard Matthews making significant progress last year.
No excuses for players like Dion Jordan (unless Jason LaCanfora gets him traded to the Eagles) Jamar Taylor, Dion Sims, Jelani Jenkins and Dallas Thomas, all making a much bigger contribution. Will Davis wasn't physically strong enough for the NFL last year, but he could be now. I'm looking forward to seeing these guys in action.
