Based on this forum, we need to draft at least one OT and OG. We also need to draft a DT, S, TE, RB, and a LB. With six picks, don't think that's gonna work out. Hopefully, we can get two guys to impact our team this year, and maybe another to contribute.

So, which positions are top three on your list for the draft if BPA is about the same?

OL, DT, and safety. I think with a good free agency Miami could trade back from 19 into the mid 20s, add a pick or two, and load up on solid players in this draft.

Unfortunately we do need picks and may drop down. In that scenario, you can bet that some to be nice pro bowler will be sitting there and we will have to pass. Damned if we do and damned if we don't. Is there still a chance we
Lose a pick from the Martin saga?

I don't see how one can project until we see what happens in free agency. Except in all likelihood we won't be able to fill all the o-line holes via FA, and will need to draft at least one early no matter what.

Does anyone know what draft pick or picks we gave to Baltimore in the McKinnie trade?

In a draft as deep as this, I'm fine with trading down and getting more picks. I'd like to keep our #19 overall though.

Drafting a RB doesn't need to happen. One can be paired with Miller via free agency and that should work for Miami just fine. I mean Miller was drafted only two years ago.

No. We need a lot more FROM our draft picks.

Certainly, but there's a certain percentage of failure and success league-wide. More picks offer more chances to get a solid contributor. For ever Miami who get little from their picks there's a Seattle who have 5th and 7th rounder starters.

i guess we arent winning the superbowl then

lol, true. But too bad we don't have all the draft picks we had last year. Something tells me with a GM that actually understands the scheme and the philosophy of the coach our draft picks would have been much more productive.

i'd wait for hickey to give you a draft of scheme fits and solid talents...hell it has been too much to ask for as long as i can remember around here...maybe hickey will at least get one of those right...either scheme fits or good players

if i start seeing names like stanley jean baptiste and michael sam and 34 de's at dt and the power ots like fleming i will know...we screwed
