If a team lacks game-breakers, it is difficult to prevail once a game breaks down. That lesson of the playoff loss to Baltimore was reinforced by Sunday's 19-7 loss to the Falcons, and it is a serious concern as the 2009 season continues.

The Dolphins didn't protect the football or the quarterback against Atlanta. For most teams, that combination would likely mean a loss against a quality opponent. For the Dolphins, it always will, because they lack the personnel to make explosive plays out of conventional sets. That renders their margin for error microscopic, forces them to resort to gimmickry and limits their ability to mount serious comebacks.

This is not a surprise. We are in year 2 of rebuilding the franchise. We have more weapons, but it takes time for rookies to develop.

We need a returner that can change the game!!! We haven't had one since OJ McDuffie!

Then why is pennington playing? If we were rebuilding, henne or white would be playing...

we know we have a QB who can't put up quick strike points, but it was the same issue last year, we have to find ways around it unfortunately... we just cant fall behind by much or we are screwed...

No returner is going to do a damn thing with the way this ST's is blocking. I really don't think some of you watched the game on Sunday, whoever returned the ball was getting swarmed by the time they reached the 10-15 yard line. Ginn has returned many kicks for long gains and/or TD's(a lot of them got called back for stupid penalty's) he is not the problem.

I have watched the game a few times. First any of Ginns long returns came from wide open lanes. Even when he was at Ohio State wide open lane or he reversed the field. We need a returner that can make the first guy miss, none of ours do that. Plus I don't want Ginn and Bess returning kicks getting exposed to injury!

What we didn't do is play to our strengths. we didn't play the game our team is truly built for. That is running the ball. Ricky and Ronnie are clearly our best offensive weapons. Add Cobbs and Polite we have a 4 headed hydra that can wear down defenses and open up the passing game.

Can we shelve the Pat White experiment. The Wildcat was successful because Ronnie ran it. White needs to sit and learn.

Don't expect to win if we aren't using our weapons.

It doesn't matter if R&R are our best weapons, with how the oline played sunday they will be running into defensive tackles. So we are going to Shelve something that was attempted 5 times tops? In a game that we were being dominated on the offensive line! If they let White run that in the preseason his timing with Ginn would have been better!

Brown was averaging 4.5 ypc and Ricky was averaging 5.5.....so tell me why we wern't running the ball????

Ronnie can be a game changer but we need a BIG wr to be able to get open and make people miss.
Once we have a true #1 Wr then ginn #2 and camarillo 3 we will be good. IMO.

This isn't the old days w/ a 5 year rebuilding plan. You guys are defneding division champs, you are re-tooling to get better not rebuilding.

So the breaking news is basically that the Dolphins want good football players.

I can't believe guys get paid to come up with this crap.

Michael Crabtree looking likely to re-enter enxt years draft. Would be just what we need perhaps?

The problem Ronnie ran the ball 4 times in the first half.. early in the game our line was ok.. Once Abraham starting bullrushing Long it was over.

People like to think that our team is an identity it isn't built for. No we don't have a legit #1 WR. We don't have a legit PR (We do it's Ginn, so just put him there)

We're built for the run. We were averaging almost 5 yds per carry. That's damn good.

I think we've got to stop trying to fooling people. We are what we are..
