anybody see this about Chris Clemons...
He got his hands on two footballs and finished plays," coach Tony Sparano said. "That was impressive to me."
Sparano expects the 6-foot-1, 210-pound Clemons will be even more impressive once the game gets more physical than it is in camp.
"With Chris you're not really going to see what you want to see, the entire package, until you put the pads on with him," Sparano said. "That's probably the norm with safeties.
"But this guy, when you watch him on film, he likes contact."

ive said sense day 1, we NEED to draft him.. he will provide good depth and can be a starter 2 years from now

i'm guessing he's a FS being how he had a couple of picks in these rookie mini-camps?

I read somewhere that Chris Clemons looked like the fastest guy on the field out there this weekend at the rookie workouts.

I really like to hear that and combined with a love for contact.

Sounds like a lethal combination.

Chris should be a huge contributor on ST this season.

Sparano I believe said that he was always the first guy down there on kickoff and punt coverages

i've also read that he was taking charge during these rookie mini-camps and lining the defense up out on the field...if that's the case,he sounds like a leader to me,and could work himself into a backup role and if Y. Bell gets hurt again, and Gibril Wilson has to slide over into the SS position, then Clemons could become our starting FS...i really have to say that for the first time in a few years,i have a good feeling about our Secondary...especially if these rookies continue to improve once the pads go on and contact starts...

i think its safe to say our drafting these last 2 years, has been better than every draft since jimmy split.

mainly because of the mid-late round (suprise picks) guys we have picked up

Kendall Langford... 3rd...no one thought he would be this good
Donald Thomas... 6th... starter and looked very good in camp last season
Devone Bess... UDFA... Huge contributor
Dan Carpenter... UDFA... starter and beat out Feely after he had most accurate dolphins season ever

Then we have to see this year draft
possibly
Chris Clemons, TE and OT i think will be good

well bro,i'm warming up more&more on this years draft...and you need to change your screen name on here...Satele's now a Raider,lol...

they also said he runs a 4.4.if this guy pans out.wow

Funny what a few months will do eh? It was doom and gloom about the secondary and today it has a lot of promise.

I agree with your post that depth is a good problem to have and the S position has been upgraded along with the CB position.

I want to be very physical and have big time play makers back there. Let's hope it happens.

Great post!

you are definitely right about that Fin...a few months ago,it was our Secondary sucks...all we have now is Will Allen with Goodman gone...our Safeties suck outside of Y. Bell...with us signing Gibril, and this Clemons kid looking good in these mini-camps,and Vontae&Sean showing promise at the Corner positions...our Secondary's looking better&better...
