Dolphins | Had Targeted Webster in Second Round

Armando Salguero, of the Miami Herald, reports the Miami Dolphins had targeted LSU CB Corey Webster with their second-round choice in the 2005 NFL Draft, but Webster was selected three picks earlier by the New York Giants.

The Miami Dolphins have signed undrafted rookie free agent DE Van Brown (Oklahoma State).
 
Van Brown is quite the physical specimen! Hes 6-5 1/2 and 277 pounds. Brown, the younger brother of Seattle Seahawks OLB Chad Brown, had a 4.39 shuttle, 7.03 three-cone drill, 41-inch vertical, 1.63 10-yard and 2.75 20-yard times in runs. On a wet track, he also had a 4.71 40-yard dash time

Those are some incredible numbers for a big man. I wonder if hes any good at football.
 
I'm kinda glad Webster was taken. I'd rather have Roth. I think Daniels will be a decent corner.
 
could reggie howard get cut? Saban was targeting webster when we already have madison/howard/poole/howard. Then we draft travis daniels. I wouldnt be surprised if this was madisons last season with the dolphins
 
We are really throwing a lot of Defensive lineman into the mix. I wouldn't be surprised if one or more veterans get beaten out.

somebody posted yesterday that Saban wants Daniels to play corner, and that he's not moving him to S, which actually backs up the PFT report that Saban has reportedly told Howard to take a paycut
 
If we get a S like Rosegreen then I think Daniels may play CB, if he doesnt he may move back to S.

That site is ******ed; they have Matt Jones getting drafted twice in the first round (#15 and then again at #18) and they spell a lot of the guys names wrong.

I was reading on a report the night before the draft that Howard was told to take a pay cut or be cut. He has a pretty big salary and I would rather have the cap space and Travis Daniels than Reggie Howard. He didn't show me anything last year
