Here's an update on our guys over in NFL Europa:

DT Steve Fifita – Frankfurt
Played in reserve role in Frankfurt’s 30-14 win over Amsterdam ... notched one tackle.

DB Shirdonya Mitchell – Frankfurt

WR P.K. Sam – Rhein
Caught three passes for a team-high 42 yards in Rhein’s 15-3 loss to Berlin.

DT Kevin Vickerson – Cologne
Started the season opener at right defensive tackle in Cologne’s 24-18 win over Hamburg.

Strong Safety?!? I thought he was a corner??

i like this....Shirdonya can give us depth at SS. Vickerson is panning out ok i guess....Fifita im guessing is nothing...if he cant even start in NFL Europe, forget it. PK Sam may make a decent 5th receiver.

Fifita is done if he is a non-starter in NFLE.

Ya I saw that report also. It's an error. I watched the game. He played corner and he didn't play very well. He was blamed for a couple of plays that weren't his fault but he gave up a touchdown pass to a WR named Surrency who had a really great game.

He didn't look good out there. I was very disappointed. The guy is a great tackler with good speed and quickness but he just can't seem to pick up his role mentally. On the other hand, maybe this just what he needs and the experience he hets in Europe will get things clicking for him.

well this proves to me that we wont be hurting too much at defensive tackle which should free us to get two receivers a i know with the talent at wr i would replace hagan and booker with jarrett and davis.

Seemed to bounce back nicely this week. Had an interception for a TD this week.

That was my thought also, we know he can fly, lets hope he develops!

*chuckles* I watched that game, Mitchell was getting burned all day long. I was embarrassed that he had ever held a roster spot on the Fins.

He wasn't getting butned all day long but the TD pass to Surrency where crossed almost the entire end zone appeared to be his assignment alone unless there was supposed to be help over the middle that didn't show up.

As far as him getting burnt all day long; shame on you for listening to that idiot color commentator who wasn't even really paying attention to the game. He blamed Mitchell for two completed pass plays at the beginning of the game that weren't his assignment, and then he kept on Shirdonya erroneously throughout the game until he finally shutup in the fourth quarter when it was obvious that the defense was good and he was just shooting his mouth off.

The play that really set him off was the one where Mitchell was in deep coverage on the wideout, right where he was supposed to be and the slot receiver circled over and underneeth on the left side for about an 18 yard gain and the idiot blamed Mitchell for the completion. The whole game was tarnished with his idiot commentary. Don't listen to what some of these guys are saying. They are inexperienced and are just trying to make themselves look good and they shoot there mouths off without closely observing the play.

I recorded the game and watched that play about a dozen times. He was out of position at times and didn't respond as quickly to what was happening on the feild as you might like but the whole thing about him torched isn't at all true. And he did make some great tackles against the running game and defensed a couple passes very well.

Fifta didn't start in week one because he was a late allocation. He started in week two and finished with 6 total (5 solo) tackles with 5 of those for either no gain or for losses.

i highly doubt we r goin 2 replace hagan yet, but we do need 2 do sumthin wit boker
