Dolphins not feeling the love

National positive press is a tough thing to get in Miami. Dolphins actually won 8 more games than La Canfora thought we would last season. lol

This team has to create it's own national media love by winning games especially the ones that the should win and get into the playoffs. Nothing will come easy.

James Walker is very much in the Adam Beasley mold.

Not convinced the seat under Philbin is all that hot. If it were that bad he would been blown out with Ireland.

Yeah I don't think its any hotter than your average coach and it would probably take more than 8 losses at the very least.

Blah Blah Blah....James Walker can go play in traffic for all I care. If Tannehill improves we will be fine simple as that, no need for all these so called experts to put us at the bottom when we haven't played one game yet.

Our rushing D went from very strong to bad last season, and we lost our best asset in that department (Paul Soliai). We replaced him with a guy who is more similar to Starks than he is Soliai (though not as good as either). We added nothing significant to the LB's. Our secondary doesn't look a lot better on paper, but Coyle has always done well with veteran FA DB's. We also have to be concerned that our best defensive player is getting old, and he missed time last season (and we struggled without him).

On top of all that, every team in our division ranked in the top 10 in rushing attempts last season - except, of course, for Miami (29th).

The silver lining consists of Bill Lazor and some new offensive weapons - and the hope that players like Dion Jordan, Jamar Taylor, Will Davis, and Jelani Jenkins will make significant improvement. But if Ryan Tannehill can play anywhere near as well as Nick Foles last season, we'll make the playoffs. I'm very curious to see how much Chip Kelly Bill Lazor brings to Miami, but it's hard to envision Tannehill showing that kind of efficiency under any conditions. I say it from time to time, but I do think Tannehill is good enough. He protects the ball well for a young QB, he can run an offense, and he has very good physical attributes. If he either added consistency on the deep ball or better instincts, he'd make a significant leap. Maybe that comes naturally with the improved O-line. Not my take, but it's a popular one. Unless Tannehill improves in either of these areas, I think he profiles out like Alex Smith with a bigger arm and a better frame. Smith's been to the playoffs three straight seasons (6-2-1 before being benched in 2012), but Smith's success stems from his skill set matching up with teams that want to run the ball, protect the ball, and play D. And he's capable of giving you the occasional top-shelf outing.

Anyway, there are reasons to be optimistic, but I don't love our odds.

why should there be any buzz on a team that hasnt had a winning record in half a decade.

One of the most useless rankings in sports. NFL power ranking. Here's a news flash, last year in the preseason power ranking the Falcons were #4, Texans #7, Ravens #8, Redskins #11, Giants #12, Bears #13, Rams #15 and Steelers #16. That's the top half of the NFL according to their power rankings and 8 of them didn't make the playoffs. Three of those teams (Atlanta, Houston and Washington) were picking in the first 6 picks of the draft.

All true. Yet Bleacher Report thinks Miami is the worst team in the league. How does that make any sense?

Because it is bleacher report. A site that should get no respect from any rational thinking individual. I will never understand why people give that site and its authors any credit whatsoever. Really all it is is paragraph upon paragraph of quantity with no quality. Guys like CK frequently write articles on that site and then come on here and argue to the death (with me specifically) that up and comers like Olivier Vernon are worthless and should not be on the team, while subsequently said player posts probowl numbers, and again subsequently said "author" completely disappears when proven wrong instead of standing tall and accepting due criticism, just proves BR should never be used with any credibility at all. To answer your question, BR makes as much sense as James Walker does.

dlocks brings the hammer!!

People are continually butthurt when the media they say they have no respect for gives them no respect.
Its kind of like Mel Kiper if he dislikes our draft, he is an idiot that doesn't know anything, but if he likes our draft weill that's a good observation.
Hell that even extends to posters. If your praise what we do, then you get it and see the big picture but if you are critical you obviously are not a fan and don't know what you are talking about.

My thing is why you must point it out over and over again lol
