With the NFL trade deadline approaching at 4 p.m. Tuesday, coach Tony Sparano didn't sound like a man looking to improve his squad with a blockbuster deal.

"I love my team," he said today. "I like where we're at."

Last week, the Dolphins were among several teams rumored to be interested in acquiring Cleveland return man Josh Cribbs.

Cribbs has returned a punt and a kickoff for a touchdown this season and instantly would improve one of the Dolphins' weakest areas.

Miami averages 22 yards on kick returns, but returner Patrick Cobbs suffered a season-ending knee injury in the last game, against the New York Jets. Punt returner Davone Bess averages 8.6 yards.

Cribbs leads the NFL with an average of 28.4 yards on kickoffs and 16.8 yards on punts.

Cribbs is unhappy with his contract and stuck on the 1-5 Browns. But coach Eric Mangini said he has no plans to trade Cribbs.

But where does it say. im not expecting a trade..what coach would say that..& since when was Coach a GM ??

It says he's not expecting a trade....it doesn't say that there won't be a trade.

I'm not expecting a trade either...but I wouldn't be shocked if there was a trade.

for the record, I believe my coach. why? because its not our style and the coach is a pretty honest guy. In fact, I think he says too much about our WC and things....but thats just me.

I actually take what my coach says more than reporters or radio guys.

there is really no excuse for not trying to land a weapon for Henne. yeah, don't give away the draft, but a bird in hand is better than two in the bush. I would be willing to give up a couple picks for a proven guy that Henne can throw too for a few years. draft pick are valuable, but even if we draft a good receiver it sometimes takes them a few years to really become good players. the ricky and ronnie combo will only be in place a couple more years at most. we need to have a little more sense of urgency I think.
