Dolphins now focused on TE Cameron and CB McCain

Cameron DID come back for the last four weeks of the season.

Again, check the head and see what he is interested in for money.

This has Hickey written all over it.......man do I LOVE our GM. Screw these short receiving threats, give me a tall red zone threat like Cameron any day of the week. A Cameron/Sims combo sounds awfully juicy.

Not crazy about Brice McCain. Got to be sold on that more.

McCain 5'9" means too very small CB's. I would love to have a strong physical corner to play more press, especially if our front 4 with SUH, and WAKE, can collapse the pocket quickly. I would hate to see all these off-coverage receptions for 5-7 yards.

I could see RT and Cameron having a nice connection.

Think of how Cameron tore it up with bad QB's.

Update: The Dolphins actually have an offer in to Brice McCain ...

Brice McCain is uninspiring. Absolutely just a slot guy...Patrick Robinson would be better since he can actually play outside potentially.

If we could get Cameron in a short term prove it deal it could be a nice consolation for us. He would make up for the loss of Clay in the short term (assuming he can stay on the field). Not like Clay was on the field the entire season last year, anyways.

Clay is better than Cameron. I watched a lot of Cameron as I enjoyed a lot of FF success with him his breakout year.

He's a very good red zone target but Clay is definitely superior in a lot of intangibles.

That's exactly why we need him. We don't have a red zone target on the team. Both players have had injury issues but when each was at their best Cameron was a Pro Bowl player and Clay, well he's not even a real TE. Cameron is much bigger, very athletic and a real seam and red zone threat. We REALLY need him if he checks out with our medical staff. I say go for it.

If Cameron can stay healthy then he could be the big red zone target we've been desperate for since the Marshall trade, but that's a pretty big if.
