Dolphins now focused on TE Cameron and CB McCain

you can be overblown with the head..... ive seen just normal hits take him out after already having concussions earlier in season. it worries me a lot, i feel bad. dont want to mess with the head

Here is my point. I understand there is a medical issue and it has to be checked. If the doctors do not feel comfortable, you cannot sign him. However, if his head was that at risk, there was no ****ing a independent neurologist would let him back on the field last winter.

I like Cameron too but geez, why couldn't miami have just let Clay go and traded for Jimmy Graham?

It is significant that Cleveland with few Offensive weapons, has effectively allowed Jordan Cameron to walk into free agency. For all his talent, they considered him unworthy to lock up. They may have serious concerns about his health and preferred not to take the risk.

If Cleveland were a well run organization like the Pats or Seahawks then I'd think this was a legit argument, but this is the Browns we're talking about. And yes I realize the irony of a Dolphins fan saying this.

Per Rotoworld:

Free agent Jordan Cameron will visit the Dolphins on Wednesday.
It didn't seem like the Fins would need a backup plan at tight end after slapping Charles Clay with the transition tag. Of course, that was before the Bills threw Miami a curve ball by bringing Clay in for a visit. Cameron is one of the league's premier receiving tight ends, but teams seems to be shying away from him because of his history with concussions (three in the last two seasons). The Browns and Raiders are also keeping tabs on Cameron.

Hickey offers contracts to nearly every player that visits and most sign. Two who didn't last year: D'Qwell Jackson, Nate Burleson.

its still the NFL and football.... these guys play anyways!!! just think about the days playing without the knowledge of concussions.... its weird to think about.

Also, while I do like Clay (but not for the cash we are hearing)…I can remember him hurting his knee in a scrimmage last summer by falling out of bounds in an awkward fashion. I barely practiced last year. My point is Clay is not necessarily rugged either.

When Clay was out vs. the Jets on Monday Night, Sims was huge in the 4th.

I think he can be replaced if the money gets gross from Western NY.

Jordan Cameron career stats: 47 receptions, 1600 receiving yards, 10 TDs

Charles clay career stats: 61 receptions, 1800 receiving yards, 14 TDs

Clay has also played in 11 more games then J cam

If we get Cameron, how would it be bad? Any player in the league is a hit away from IR if you think about it.

Browns expressed interest in Jermaine Gresham, but still like Jordan Cameron at right price http://dlvr.it/8w2lpz

Now factor in the team and QB over that time.

Once a guy goes the recurring concussion route, the end is near...

Yep i would agree...jordans a talented enough player where if his health wasnt an issue hed command top 5 tight end money as a free agent...this obviously means teams have backed off...feels like another damaged goods signing but if he did stay healthy this kids a player...but a tight end that doesnt take a lot of high contact etc and have his head jarred good luck finding that...comes with the position...better watch guaranteed money here...doubt you get 16 games

Mccains size screams slot but i like this option more than patrick robinson i know that...i have nightmares about robinsons boundary play in the past

a hit to jar the brain is much different then a body hit. yes everyone is at risk of injury, but thats also why they keep their bodies in best shape possible, is to take the abuse of football. but yes the unlucky aspect and violent game can cause injuries quite often as we know.

but how do you train your brain to take the hits? as well as Cameron has had a bunch of concussions already and our for weeks at a time for some. making it easier to obtain another one, more open for re-occurring concussions, and even worsen neurological and functional issues down the road. you dont want to messs with the head

and i would feel awful enough to see his career end with one more tackle.... but it would be worse to also see it as a Dolphin. the kid has talent!!! he can be good!!! but just wont have the chance to show it with a long career.

They also might as well be run by monkey's.
