Wow, do our FO boys and coaches have their work cut out for them this off season.

I don't see how we can continue with Albert and Bushrod. We might as well go younger because it can't get much worse.

Can a healthy Anthony Steen really be the answer behind Pouncey? I think we have to be realistic at this stage; Pouncey's hip may never be right again.

Myself, I would just let all three go and be very eclectic in the process of garnering young talent.

Let all 3 go?

Where is all this young talent coming from? We need defense and these guys have dead cap hits that make no sense to cut them next year.

Truth be told, Pouncey is going nowhere. That is 100% a given. Now if the same thing happens next year, that opens the door but he will be allowed to fully rehab and not be thrown in there battling anything nagging. Gase LOVES Pouncey.

Steen is not the answer my friend, he got exposed towards the end and the team decided to run with Urbik. Steen is this coaching staffs Brenner.

Upgrade to Bushrod was already in the cards. The fact that he gave us a full 16 games means we more than got our money's worth with him. He battled and did not allow us to throw Billy Turner or Dallas Thomas types in there. That was a win. Would not mind him as a depth option at all if that shoulder heals up.

Albert I thought played well at times and kept the QB clean. The lapse in the Pittsburgh game was inexcusable but he was not an issue. With Tunsil here, Miami may approach him in regards to a paycut. The problem with cutting Albert is, you immediately weaken your tackle and guard depth with one move.

And Juwan James will have a 9 million dollar 5th year option due in April. I am not crazy about extending that to a RT, a very average RT. We worried about saving 7.2 by cutting Branden but have to give Juwan 9 million in 2018. Meh.

Critical offseason in regards to this offensive line.

move tonsil out to lt, BA either restructures or moves inside, fine at center but need to get a better back up, have to spend money on a guard, james got better as the season went on. May have to spend big money on two guards.
we need to go after Ronald Leary in march. it would be a huge upgrade.

James has to go. He's a pile of garbage. I'd like to see one more guard added, Albert to RT and James to left bushrod wasn't as bad as James.

Albert is not kicking inside.

And I just read the article, something is off about their grading because James got consistently beat across his face if he was left alone on third and over 5 yards.

How is the jets line or Giants line better ?? Pff is a complete joke always has been don't freak out , our line when healthy was pretty damn good ,pass pro was extremely improved and we ran the ball very well. Idc about no ratings they don't know the assignment on the play do they call the play are they in the huddle Pff it's a joke !!

I think some of us saw our line at times through rose colored glasses. It has been so bad when we approached mediocrity we assumed it was fairly good. Fact is we could not pick up blitzes regularly when needed in obvious blitz or pressure downs. How many times were 3rd and longs a "give up" down. It wasn't good, not by any stretch of imagination, but improved as time passed.

How may times would Tanny take a vicious hit from an unblocked rusher that wasn't even sniffed at. This is what is bad and needs correction as well as a healthy bunch. I think the fix can be easy assuming we get a few new players especially a true guard and back up center who can play in the NFL.

Reading the rationale of Ju'wan James as the Dolphins best o-lineman, he simply sucked the least of the regular starters. Still a curious pick; most RT's like RG's can absolute destroy average D-lineman, he is a pass blocking mofo most of the time. As a run blocker James just isn't that guy. Makes me wonder if Gase decides to rebuilt the O-line if James finds a home with a different team that has lefty QB as their starter.

Ah, Amateur Football ****ups.

No thanks. Should be avoided like Omar Kelly.

If we move tonsil out can we get ice cream afterwards?

Albert is not kicking inside.

Then Albert needs to go, IMO. We have an opportunity to groom and start a true franchise LT (who isn't 30+ years old) on a rookie contract. You have to make that lineup change. Keep Pouncey on your roster and let him get healthy, and as much as it burns, spend more $ in FA or draft picks to bulk our talent at guard.

That's my thought. There simply isn't as much need for Albert to justify his salary.

Simply sign the best two guards in FA, and the OL is set. No need for Albert. Id spend on OG, not Stills.

....and that's why I want our front office to go hard after Kevin Zeitler. He is the best run blocking guard available in free agency.
