So we have gotten rid of 2 of our past 5 pro-bowlers and its a consensus that the Dolphins are the only team that has gotten worse this offseason.

Ireland got his man after the second time - let's not forget that Garrard snubbed us last off-season.

No one comes to the games anymore.

Ross is a shrewd business man who wants to make money.

The Dolphins aren't a passion play for him. He bought them at 1billion plus and needs to get ROI (Return on investment)

So how does he do that? Dumps the value to an all time low and hence lowers the resistance from the community then relocates them to the second most lucrative media market in the USA.

Los Angeles Sharks?

Maybe Goddell will let Miami-Dade keep the rights to the name of the franchise and we can have a new team in 5 years.

=_(

Dolphins remain one of the most profitable franchises in the NFL. Los Angeles is a garbage market for the NFL and anyone over the age of 20 remembers that fact.

Calm down, ace.

Garrard needed back surgery so not sure how that is a snub but it was fun for the media at the time I guess.

Garrard pretty much insulted the team and claimed that we weren't serious about him because we wouldn't offer him guaranteed money.

Then he had season ending back surgery that he had known he needed for weeks. That was one that Jeff Ireland actually got right, and David Garrard is still a schmuck, I don't care if we did sign him to hold a clipboard during the preseason.

This is one of the biggest fallacies around, resistance from the community is irrelevant. Ross can move them whenever he wants (no stadium lease issues) and doesn't need a reason. The NFL and/or community couldn't stop the Raiders from moving to LA, the Colts from moving to Indy, or the Browns from moving to Baltimore.

That being said, the reason LA doesn't have a team? No stadium...and while there are plans for one, it's probably at least 5 years away.

And by the way, even if Ross decided to move (which he won't), the NFL would get another team here almost immediately.

The Dolphins will not move from Miami, the NFL will not allow it the market is too big, even with poor ticket sales we still generated $1billion last year, there was a list of 5 or so teams that could possibly move to LA and Miami is not on that list, the rams, bills, jags, raiders, and vikings are all teams that could make that move, the Dolphins are not leaving Miami so please stop.

Right but the 'no one wants to play for this FO' was played out when he did not sign last year yet here he is playing for the same FO.

I'm sure that the people being led around by the nose by the Big Tuna (mysteriously silent in all this mess, curious, isn't it?) will agree that it's only because he's a scrapheap player desperate for a job.

(Even though more teams wanted to kick his tires than Matt Flynn's...)

plz dont draft tha aggie qb he looks thepart but doesnt win close games an blows late leads by turnover

Browns, Raiders, Cardinals, Steelers, Ravens, Lions, Saints, all stayed the same or got worse. (off the top of my head).

Browns are blowing for Barkley. It's already being talked about in Cleveland. They've been dead quiet in the offseason. Holmgren saw what just happened in Indianapolis and he knows the score.

Didn't the league year / free agency start last Tuesday at 4pm? So We have not had a full week and yet, the world is coming to an end, the Dolphins are the ONLY team to get worse, and it is all Jeff Ireland's fault. Because we traded a player that dropped more TD passes then he caught since he was here?

The Colts won 2 games, cut their best player ever along with half of their team - but somehow they got better? Seattle wanted to interview Manning, he said no, wouldn't even meet with them in Denver, but somehow they are a better franchise? Same with Kansas City. This piling on Ireland, Ross and the entire franchise is a joke.

How could we possibly have gotten market value for him when the trade was made the first day of free agency, when plenty of quality receivers were made available for no compensation...

These are isolated incidents, rather than a continuation of a pattern...

Please, just stop. The MIAMI Dolphins are not moving to anywhere, let alone LA. Step away from the ledge...

The Colts didn't get immediately better but they set themselves up to continue being good for a decade. And I also disagree with you that the piling on is a joke -- it's not a joke, it's tarnishing this team's reputation. Deliberately, I would say.
