Well.. this is the first thread I've ever started here I think.

Decent article here that most of you Americans are likely not to have seen:

Kinda whups most of the reviews I see on other 'major' sites. Mike Carlson is also a TV pundit over here for the UK's SNF/ MNF coverage and completely knocks the socks off all other guys we have on TV over here, and most of what I see from America too. A great analyst who generally really knows his stuff.

Miami may not be ready to go all the way, but they will be dangerous this season, and that six-game win streak that ended last year could continue. The Belichick division has a definite contender. You disagree? What have I been smoking? Just ask Ricky Williams. From the seeds and stems of the Wannstedt era, Saban has rolled some Dade County Gold.

nice read...dang Limey's...it's program, and Houck....Queens English my fanny....

Dade County Gold... smoke um if ya got um...

Pretty good write up but the guy doesnt seem to think too much of our WR group. I think we got some pretty good TC competition at the that positon but i liked the read regardless.

Well its normally 'programme' over here unless its a computer program. :D Carlson's actually American originally, I think he's just typing to his audience.

Hauck is of course spelt wrong though, but I don't think nfluk.com gets much, if any, editorial attention so has frequent typo gaffs sadly (not to mention horrific web design).

Oh and cnc66, are you sure you have a fanny? Know what that means over here?

I think its kind of accurate to say that the WR position is a lot of potential, but a lot of 'ifs' right now. Just looking at the debate generated about Booker on here for example tells you that there is certainly room for debate. I love how Carlson knows all the guy's histories and who was undrafted / what team they played for in NFLE etc. He even spouts all this stuff in real-time frequently on TV too - like any pundit he's not always right, but I rarely see such a good knowledge of players and coaches etc.

well, I just checked, it's still there... no I don't, help me out...

Well here's a clue; you wouldn't say you had one over here unless you are a lady. (which I am pretty sure you ain't as I've seen numerous posts by you over the years.. a 1000 apologies if I am wrong however)

hahahaha, unlike Grapeape, there is no identity problems here...:cooldude:

Carlson is an excellent studio analyst, far better informed and more interesting than any i've stumbled upon when watching games in the states

You just have to stay up till 5.30am to watch @@@! Of course its generally well worth it.

OT: Also Carlson on C5 is far better than Sky coverage IMO @@@ - although probably best not to devolve this thread into a discussion on UK TV coverage for now ^_^

Hmmm, could it be: :baghead: and you're still coming out..:sidelol: :sidelol:

Pretty good read, but I don't like writers who try to hard to get in one liners. Go do standup please.
