The other post was fine… it’s fine to approach the game w a QB first approach, but I think it’s over rated… Simply put a team CANNOT do what the Dolphins have done for 25 plus years and expect to win….that is put Ryan Tannehill or Gus Ferotte or Tua behind weak incompetent o lines and expect to win….Joe Burrow did it but he’s literally not human considering the amount of hits that guy takes…seriously most of us would be ruined physically for life after taking ONE hit that guy endures and he takes a hit most every passing play… invest in the line… it’s sad to see Grier still in place after he openly mocked us, his loyal fan base for complaining about our Liam Eichenberg led line…seriously that Grier still in the GM position shows how much Ross does not care at all about the fan base… we will suck to Ross sells this team or moves on to the next world…

Maybe I’m remembering wrong lol thought Purdy outplayed Mahomes in regular time but Mahomes capitalized in OT. Defense and special teams really let Purdy down. Had an extra point blocked which only left 9ers up 3 rather than 4 which would have left chiefs needing a td to win rather than the 3 they got with less than two minutes. I know it’s Mahomes and the chiefs but defense still has to stop that last drive which tied it with only 1:53 left. My point either way is he played good enough to win.

Tua is a top 5 QB.
Most here (did you?) claimed that Wilkins is a top 5 DT.
Minkah Fitzpatrick is a top 5 safety.
Holland, before he started chasing money, was considered top 5.
Tunsil…top 5
X Howard…top 5

I agree. Purdy putting up an 89 PR against that defense in that situation shows he’s a baller.
 
6-7 day ago it was all doom and gloom, now everybody's excited. They even love McGoober's tone. That chihuahua is chirping hard and tough, like a new man. I especially liked the part about 'the team' and Jonnu "being on the same page" comment while he hold's out. Pretty classy there.

I’m pretty sure “team” means the coaches and players. I think McD is saying they all think Smith deserves the raise.

The thought that a single player is considered carrying a team with a top oline and elite defense is pretty comical. For whatever reason Allen is always said to carry them but it just makes 0 sense.

Tunsil was pure.luck and he was traded. Minkah was top 5 but traded. Howard is the ONLY top 5 that actually played for us. Holland, Wilkins and Tua are good but not top 5. When you talk of the top of the league you talk about special talent. Burrow, Allen, Mahomes, Jackson at QB. Hamilton, McKenney, Bates and Wingfield at S. Jones, Lawrence, Heyward and Williams at DT. Top 10 is not bad by any means. If Grier where consistent on drafting good talent we would be on a better position. Problem is he had lots of big misses and lots of players are still “developing” from past drafts.

Don’t move the goalposts. You claimed that Grier has “NEVER” (emphasis yours) drafted a top 5 player.

All of the players I listed are arguably top 5 players in their position and they were all drafted by Grier.

Nope. They are NOT arguably top 5. Tua, Holland and Wilkins arent. You are just looking at them with Dolphins glasses or even worse, with Griers glasses.

Oh so it’s right and you just don’t like being called out on bs, got it.

Bills offense has had 3 appearances as a top 5 unit last 6 years while defense has had 4.

Wild inaccurate take to claim one player is carrying a team when the opposing side of the ball has been ranked better last few years. That’s not even accounting for their solid run game and great oline as well.
