Awwwwe, did I hurt your little feelings for talking about Mike mcmeanie?

For the record what Joe Schad is saying isn't the context that McDaniel talks about in terms of being late with big throwers. This is a standard issue in sports in general. McDaniel is saying he's late throwing the ball in the route and has gotten away with it through life up to this point because of his big arm. Eventually the level of competition rises where the plus arm doesn't cover up for the timing issue.

You see this in all sports. Young receivers that are very fast don't tend to be good route runners because they can just rely on their speed. Offensive lineman that are very strong don't tend to have good feet because they can get away with in at lower levels. In baseball when you look at catchers that throw the ball the hardest to second base, they almost always have the slowest release time. We tend to adapt to the necessity of the environment around what the environment affords us. Very fast QBs never have to get multiple reads off in high school because they can just tuck it and beat the competition with their legs. That's why running QBs always have a learning curve with reading defenses and guys with softer arms tend to have to anticipate better. The fact that this is the first time he heard this isn't insanely surprising. That's a benefit of a newer school nerd type coach.

I think Allen makes up for the difference…the lines we had in 2022 and 2923 I could see him making a run for sure
I don't really remember 2022, but too many injuries in 2023. Not to mention the injuries on defense. I know QB is most important position, but one player isn't making up for the loss of so many starters.

If we had Josh Allen instead of Tua during the McDaniel era I have no doubt that we would’ve reached at least l AFC championship game
Most likely. But if Tua had been able to stay healthy I think this would have also happened. Too bad Tua is so stupid that he keeps getting himself injured.

In 2022 we would have beaten the Bills if Tua had stayed healthy. The Dolphins , with Skylar, nearly beat the Bills in Buffalo, in the playoffs.
