Dolphins Offseason Thread (Mandatory Mini-Camp 6/10 - 6/12)

Of course it did. The difference is that now it’s rapidly heating do human interference.

The fact that you simply don’t care isn’t a good enough reason to exacerbate the problem.
Funny that you mentioned “fact.” Since that is what is missing from most of the debate.

The person who advised Tua allegedly, to gain weight and keep gaining weight to play the position should be fired
The yr he gain weight. He played 17 games. Maybe that reason they want him to gain weight. At this point in Tua career. he need stay healthy or he going get replaced.

Are you certain whoever told him that is employed by the Dolphins?
There’s two sides to this story imo.

The first part came out of Tua’s mouth in training camp, that the team asked him to put on some weight , ( which is open to interpretation, meaning it should only be good weight as in lean muscle mass.

The 2nd part is I know for a fact, that during the season he gained even more weight as the season progressed.

So when Tua said the team asked him to do that that has to come through the strength and conditioning coach and that guy is still employed by us

I wasn't sure where to put this... but it's absolutely classic Bengals... the cheapest team in the NFL...

NBC Sports’ ProFootballTalk reports that the Bengals’ contract talks with No. 17 overall pick EDGE Shemar Stewart stalled because of the team’s training camp bonus offer.

All Round 1 rookie contract values are predetermined by the rookie wage scale. They are also fully guaranteed. Per Mike Florio, the contract’s training camp bonus “has become a device for putting a sizable chunk of the player’s pay in his pockets in future years, early in the season,” and the Bengals reportedly offered Stewart “a lower percentage than the 17th overall pick received in 2024.” It’s an embarrassing revelation. Rookie contract values increase each year, and the training camp bonus rate ostensibly should as well. After all, the deal is fully guaranteed anyway. Stewart has thus far refused to participate in the Bengals’ rookie minicamp and is apparently unlikely to change his mind until the Bengals at least give him the equivalent 2024 rate.

Not necessarily, and as I said at the home place, we have just recently hired Brent Callaway as head strength and conditioning coach, and his credentials are impeccable. We also hired AJ Blue as Asst Strength & Conditioning Coach. So it's pretty obvious they wanted new blood in that area.

Perhaps but Polanka is still there as in director of player performance

But anyway I do like the callaway hire. I trust he would never advise Tua to gain unnecessary weight because some folks on the internet think it’s a good idea

We have more than a few weaknesses as an organization, but being cheap isn’t one of them. That’s one of Mr.Ross’ strengths. He is always willing to spend. The Bengals have a history of this.

But anyway I do like the call away hire. I trust he would never advise Tua to gain unnecessary weight because some folks on the internet think it’s a good idea
Rolling Willy Wonka GIF by Laff

A little extra weight helps keep his head of the ground. I guess. 🙄

And what do you know with certainty about anything Dave Puloka did to negatively affect Tua while he was head of strength and conditioning?
