Dolphins Offseason Thread (Mandatory Mini-Camp 6/10 - 6/12)

That’s a mouthful. Seilers good probably the most underrated player on the team but watt was literally the best player in the league for a couple years there.
For sure, I do think playing next to a dude like Grant just might unlock his instincts and quickness off the line to another level.

Lot of folks, not you, but a lot don’t know Sieler has elite measurables..

Sieler is a very good player, big big fan. Watt was the best defensive player in the league for a several year stretch and was one of the top5 nearly his entire career.

They are very different levels without taking anything away from Sieler.

You are losing the context for what I said.

Don’t agree
So, you can dodge a wrench but not a dodgeball? You needed that hard coaching from Patches O'Houlihan.

I disagree with Crabbs on his CB projection for who makes the 53. The entire contingent is made up of guys adept at press coverage. Isaiah Johnson is a prototype for press corner. IMO, he makes it. I'm not cool with keeping Burns over him. Marshall and Adams made their bones in college playing press. It's Duck's forte too.
I do not recall the percentage breakdowns last season between man and zone, but I am guessing it's more man coverage this season since the roster is loaded with press-man corners.

Sure, I suppose he could. He’s been ascending so you could very well be right.
Obviously Watt was a pure def end so my comment was kind of relative

I do think there is another level to his game.

So he’s real smart real instinctive and incredibly athletic.

So I take this year and Kenneth Grant is part of why I said what I said, he’s not had that type of guy next to him which can allow him to use his skillset and athleticism even more

I mean ain’t no other tackle putting together back to back 10 sack seasons so I do think there is an elite season that can be attained

Jj watt was more like a hybrid 5 tech. But that dude could line up anywhere on the line and murder you in both the run and pass.

I think he did most his damage anywhere out to the 5 tech I don’t recall him being used as a 4 man front end. But he was the definition of a game wrecker in his prime.

i think the Patriots have never beaten the Dolphins when Tua's been at the helm. Not saying it can't change this year, but this will the 6th season for Tua so that's a pretty good streak. Patriots could shock some people, however I also could see them possibly finishing last in the division.
We just need to somehow start getting some more wins over the Bills. We have played them tougher than people give us credit for though. The ass stompings have really made it seem like they are out of our league. We need to stomp them once, even things out. It'll happen one day. Hopefully within the next few years. It'd be nice to finally be the top dogs in the Division again. Far too long.

This is a classic ESPN stat… 180 tackles? Very random… does feel like a lot of tackles for a CB though? Might not be a good thing either heh
You aren't wrong.

I'll say this about KK, though. He has always been good in run support and was blowing up WR screens since day one.
