That time(if accurate)would have got him into the semifinals at the last Olympics.

He would have finished at the bottom of his semifinal heat and not advanced, but still pretty damn good, especially considering his age and height.

Just don't hurt yourself please.

I've seen players do it, if the have the mass and strength for it can work. The whole reason for not doing it is to prevent being put on skates, but Paul does has such silly mass that it might be advantageous for him since the rusher is prevented from using anything but a bull rush. Spins, Rips and double moves becomes an exercise in futility.

I'm not certain I would want to use it on Reggie White, but there hasn't been a Reggie White in the NFL since Reggie White.

I just hope Willie gay isn’t washed. We have a tendency to bring in guys after their prior teams find out they don’t have anytbing left to prime roles.

But, but, but isn't that true for any NFL team bringing in older players? - LOL

No Ray most teams aren’t bringing in a corpse like Jordan poyer like us and the raiders do. As an example
My point is that no NFL team really knows what an older player truly has left in him when they acquire him. They do find out soon enough after they get him on the field.

Some teams may do better than others, but nobody knows for sure how much any newly acquired player has left until he gets on the field and shows just how much he does have left.

That's the Facts Jack!!!

Yeah I don’t agree with that. When teams let former staples go for dirt money you are getting a warning.

Like I said I hope gay has something left cause he’s making dirt money. Kind of money teams don’t bail on unless they think you can’t help em anymore.

Your opinion is noted - and you are RONG.

It's hard to tell how much age and injuries will reduce a player's performance. The one sure thing is that performance will eventually fall off with time and/or injury.

The real question of how much a player does have left is difficult to predict. Could the price they command be an indicator of their remaining skill set? - YES! - Is it always accurate? - NO!

Lazy thinking, like yours, when trying to predict a player's performance is what causes NFL teams problems.

Do you really believe that if Miami hadn't signed Poyer last season that no other team would have given him a shot, at least in a vet reserve role? I thought he would have had a shot at a roster somewhere just to see if he had anything left in the tank.

Many people had written off Trace Armstrong when he came to Miami. Had enough gas in his tank to have a great impact. Never underestimate old man strength, just ask Calais Campbell.
