Dolphins Plagued by Red Zone Failures

Good article, thanks for posting Hayden.

I'm not a fan of the "bend don't break" defense. I'd much prefer a aggressive, punch them off the line of scrimmage style, but I'm not sure we have the players to play that type of defense.

I saw another statistic yesterday about Grimes QB rating when be thrown at and it was up substantially over last year. From memory, QB's were enjoying a 93% or so QBR against him. I'm a Grimes fan, and I think he plays hard and with emotion, but we need him to perform better as the leader of that defensive backfield. Those slips last week didn't help.

I think Grimes will play those tall Bears receivers tough today and have a strong game.

From what I saw last sunday, Grimes tried too hard to play Jordy Nelson in a physical manner, when he should have just been playing the ball and mirroring Nelson. He's simply too light to play a physical game against a WR that outweighs him by 30 lbs. Nelson just kept shucking him off like a piece of lint.

You can't just let Nelson run to his spots, you have to try to disrupt his timing. Were it not for Gary Grass being a Packer fan results would have been much better.

It doesn't matter what the statistics say year in and year out. It's always the same result. We'll finish the season somewhere between 7-9 and 9-7.
