A few Dolphins notes on a Tuesday morning:
• The Dolphins have been poking around on available cornerbacks and they’ve expressed some level of interest in former Bills starter Nickel Robey-Coleman, according to someone with direct knowledge.
But as of early Monday evening, a visit had not been set up with Miami.
Undrafted out of USC in 2013, Coleman appeared in every Bills game over the past four years and started 15 of them. He returned an interception for a touchdown against the Dolphins in 2013. Last season, he had two picks and returned one for a touchdown.
The Titans, Vikings, Chargers and Steelers are among other teams that have expressed interest in him, and a source said Miami is in the mix for him.
At 5-8, Coleman is ideally suited for the slot.
Coleman isn’t the only defensive back who has been on the Dolphins’ radar.

I'm amazed Miami is still counting on Misi. I get it if he could stay healthy but he's proven he can't. Time to cut him, save money, and move on.

hmmm interest in weakside lb options Zach Cunningham and hasaan Reddick and misi in limbo...smells like Timmons was told he was gonna start but not told where...keeping their options open for the draft

they draft a lb top 54 misis gone

if they don't get that nickel corner prior to the draft I'd bet money they land one by the end of day 2...3rd round serious value there

Misi has been hurt pretty much constantly lately, but i think it was one of mandos articles i read that noted he averaged 13.5 games/season over first 5 or 6 years - of course hes older now too.

Helps that he could not play that many snaps anyway with nickle D coming up often.

I just think given our current situation hes worth keeping around, especially if he takes less money, maybe a one year deal that allows him to gamble on himself....contract up after this year anyway.

good chance it is just smoke, no one should rely on Misi staying healthy at this point

If Miami opts to not draft a LB with their first couple of picks b/c they're relying on Misi to stay healthy and contribute, I'll lead the angry crowd to light poo on fire on T-Baum's front step.

Dolphins have shown interest in both Zach Cunningham and Hassan Reddick.... Big time interest in Cunningham. Read that in multiple places yesterday. (Jabrill Peppers and Taco Charlton as well for that matter)

Sign me up for VP

JMHO, Misi stays for one of two reasons. 1) He takes a serious haircut. 2) He stays (temporarily) until Miami sees if any possible replacements show enough to make Misi expendable. I'm not certain #1 is realistic, given the league-wide need for serviceable LBs.

MS, I think you nailed it. One of those 4 will be a Dolphin imo. If we're unlucky they will all be gone but it's probable that one of them is sitting there.

First hurdle with Misi is the "clean bill of health" thing expected in early May.

Even if we draft a LB in the first 2 rounds, Misi is only a half million dead cap hit and we can get a full look up until the season opener. Miami seeking a paycut early would probably have to in turn guarantee more salary in 2017.

Honestly I don't mind paying Misi the 4 million, but I like having that easy out. A restructure probably makes that more difficult.

The serious haircut is definitely a new angle. Very interesting.

Counting on Misi is such a mistake.. let's hope we draft a LB early ish
