Dolphins Possibly Playing in Doubleheader

I was saying in the general forum that the fins might end up with a prime-time game after all. This also leaves the Giants with 9 home games this yr. It would be nice to see the giants give the earnings of this game to the diaster relief. I'm not sure if it would happen but its a thought.

I skimmed the article and didnt catch that the dolphins would be involved the first time around, so I posted it there. I read it again and low-and-behold, you get some news out of it dolphins-wise.

Some of the money would probably go to disaster relief no doubt. But not all of it. The Giants aren't going to run the stadium at a loss. That is terrible business on every level.

Seems like Taglia-boo is complicating things more by making other teams reschedule....just have the Saints play all their home games in San Antonio.

Of course not all the earnings. Keep what they need to break even and the rest to the disaster relief. Hey as it is I would just like to see some of it go to help all those hit by this storm.

I would just have the Saints play their games in SA, Orlando, LA, LSU, or another stadium. Don't try and re-invent the wheel here and start doubleheaders and play in NY have it be a home game or anything like that.

Hey, how about Mexico City? Always wanted to test that market out for a full year? Packing in over 100,000 per game, send some money back to the relief effort! It would be a home field if you played 8 games there those fans would back it!

Keep it simple!

Bad Bad move, giving the Giants an extra home game. The Saints lose out on the Money, and they lose whatever fans can attend games.

MikeO I think you have a great idea with Mexico City. The only problem is that Azteca Stadium would currently be in the middle of useage for the mexican soccer leauge at the same time. The only way would be if they played all the games on Sun nights(pushing it) or Monday nights. They really should just have them play in San Antonio or LA and just leave it at that.

I don't get it. How can New Orleans have their "home opener" against the NY Giants IN the Meadowlands? I guess they'll only let in Saints fans? :D

the nfl is moronic when it comes with dealing with disasters. it reminds me of 9/11 and how the dolphins had to play that preseason game last year. so, now the saints are given another disadvantage in their season. real level playing field they're providing. stupid.

According to the paper - The Dolphins are the first one mentioned for aid/disaster relief....They in coordination with other comglomerates are making huge donations....Also, at each gate at Dolphin statium there will be recepticals for donations of money and clothing....
