DAVIE – Dolphins left guard Daryn Colledge wasn’t at the portion of Wednesday’s practice media is allowed to watch. Colledge, who left Sunday’s 27-13 victory over Jacksonville with what the team called a migraine, said he has to go through NFL protocol before he can return to practice.

Presumably Dallas Thomas would start at left guard if Colledge doesn’t play Sunday against San Diego. Thomas played left guard last week against the Jaguars.
Tight end Dion Sims also wasn’t participating in the portion of practice media is allowed to watch for the second consecutive day. Sims was on last week’s injury report with a neck ailment but he played Sunday. He’s been wearing a walking boot on his left foot for the past two days.
The official injury report comes out later this afternoon.

Dan Marino is here today. He's attended one practice a week for a month now.

"This is a good football team coming in on Sunday. Our team has got to play better. This will be a good game," Joe Philbin on the Chargers.

Andrew Abramson ‏@AbramsonPBP 41m41 minutes ago
Philbin said he agrees with some of what Mike Wallace's comments yesterday. Offense needs to improve, be more explosive.

Philbin wouldn't say whether Dion Jordan will spend time in coverage on Antonio Gates. But he said he hasn't lost that ability from last yr

Tannehill said Dan Marino has been around a lot lately. They watch tape together and he's a great resource.

Armando Salguero ‏@ArmandoSalguero 20m20 minutes ago
Matt Moore says Marino has been in watching tape with the QBs alone three or four times and more than that when coaches are around.

Adam Beasley ‏@AdamHBeasley 21m21 minutes ago
In addition to watching tape alone with the Dolphins quarterbacks, he has also popped in regularly on their position meetings. Intriguing.

I love this! Fins helping Fins! I've been waiting for this a long time. Welcome home Danny! And I just KNOW Dan is teaching him deep ball techniques.

Excited to here this. Nothing wrong with having a hall of fame QB to lean on for tips.

Excited to see what this team is made of over the next 4 games...Lets go Ryan...we are rooting for you!

this week would be a good time to activate 8 ol and billy turner be among them

The part about Sims scares me. I really think our running game will suffer without Sims. He has become a very good blocker in the run game and can make plays when he needs to in the passing game. One of my favorite players.

Agree, one of the beat writers had him as the most improved player, might have actually been Omar that said that.

if sims sits with that new foot issue its a big deal for sure....hope he practices the last day of field work b4 the game friday with the players off tomorrow cause gator hoskins cant handle his role...

hell yeah dude. Danny helpin out Tannehill is what I want to hear

I like Marino and Tannehill watching tape together. That's good stuff.

I hope he's helping RT with his pocket awareness. Marino was a master at moving a step or two in the pocket to side step the rush and buy another second or two to find an open receiver. If that's all RT learns from Marino it could propel him to top 5 QB status.

Interesting if Jordan can make life difficult for Gates. He has the height and speed to compete. This could be a great matchup role for Dion against one of their best players.
