Dolphins prepared for Tampa Bay

Its probably about building confidence for the players and fans as much as anything. Didn't hear any complaints about Tannehill/the o-line/Lazor after last weeks opening drive. Make some adjustments to make sure James doesn't look foolish or that Tannehill doesn't get hurt etc for the first team and just let the bottom of the roster guys compete.

Mando is probably correct in that the post game narrative will be very predictable. Personally, I'll be taking any result with a grain of salt though because its still preseason and we have no clue on the extent of the preparation. I liked some things I saw in the opening drive, like everybody, but I'm not about to bet my house on the Dolphins winning the SB based on one drive that was probably scripted, for a specific opponent, who was playing vanilla and safe.

Our offense isn't great because we had one good drive against a veteran defense going through the motions in a meaningless preseason game. Likewise it's not bad if Tampa Bay shuts us down. It's preseason ... and it's rather meaningless. No reason to get overly concerned yet.

The Bucs are missing their top 2 cornerbacks Saturday.

I expect to see our offense throw the ball well.

The front 7 for TB is going to be a much bigger challenge for our OL than Atlanta. Looking forward to see how we do, and this will be the best test all preseason.

Side note- We talked about signing Collins and Deitrich-Smith this off season. In the first PS game, Collins gave up 2 sacks in 12 pass blocks after 0 last year and Deitrich-Smith was bad, especially in run blocking.

Agreed going to be interested to see if we can get any running game going against them.

The Dolphins don't have a defensive back taller than 6-foot-1 (the Bucs have four) so size is an advantage Tampa Bay's offense can exploit downfield. That also includes 6-5 receiver Tommy Streeter, who had the team's lone touchdown last week.

Grimey plays like he's 6'5"

So either way come Sunday Armando will write a negative article about the Fins - SURPRISED????

So according to Armando, no matter what the result of the game is or how well or bad the team does, there are only two acceptable ways for fans to respond:

1. Have a neutral response
2. Have a negative response

No positivity allowed. Speaking of Armando, why does it look like he skipped out on the ice bucket challenge? Head scratcher.

Because he's a ****ing *****. Andrew Abrahamson specifically called him out on the radio last night, it was pretty funny.

Grimey plays like he's 6'5"

No question if you watch his highlight video you will see when tampa tried to attack grimes with Jackson in the corner of the end zone it was a high pass but Grimes got up there and batted it away

Bunch of crap.

NOBODY game plans for preseason games. :bobdole:

What's the point?

Somebody take my temperature ... I actually agree with Mando ... I must be sick.

Bear in mind that Bill Lazor has play called the sum total of one NFL game to date. It's not just the players that have to get into how an opponent is prepared for by the Dolphins

Excited to see our offense against their Defense, they will have a top 5 D this yr and coming off that good game last week they will like to be consistent with a better performance this week....lets see what we got....
