Dolphins pull plog on Brandon Marshall's appearance with Sid Rosenberg

Wow. Listen to the interview of Omar and Sid at http://www.wqam.com/index.php?page=347

I'm really glad they pulled Marshall's interviews. Sid said some crap like "I don't want to know what he thinks of Henne or Ronnie Brown .. I want to know what he was thiking about during the Darrent Williams situation" etc. Are you kidding me?

The Dolphins may have saved us from a huge headline by pulling it. Half the interview was talking about how the Dolphins made Marshall bland and uninteresting, which is good for us.

Hate to admit it but hes the best thing we got here on radio. no doubt the NY part is annoying and arrogant but thats kinda what you got to like about him, we are just as bad as he is just on our own side. The guy is genuine and when you think about it, if Marshall cant hold his own in an interview then thats his own fault. It may have been good for him to get his side of the story out and truly get a fresh start. i gotta tell you guys , i too hated Sid when he first got here but have really found out by now he is definitely the most talented guy in town. give him a chance

I used to like Sid but his gimmick is getting old. I don't care for New York sports talk on my Miami talk stations.

I hope 940 AM gets a Miami guy for the Dolphins.

This is the standard that 90% of journalists hold themselves to. The rest of the guys on WQAM are just trying to make people feel good, but outside of the homers I bet the rest of the population who knows anything about Brandon Marshall would want to hear some earnest comments about the question marks in his past.

AHHH come on Guys He's a Clown don't take Him so serious. He's actually pretty funny . He doesn't talk to much sports but when he does he's pretty up on things...And he does know a tremendous amount of sports figures I guess from working the NY Market

He was thrown out of NY....don't know how he has a job in Miami.

By the way...FO should get some praise here. Smart move stopping a scathing interview before it happens.

dude is absolutely in love with himself. he starts off every show with his ratings and how he is so far ahead of 790. I use to listen to him, but he got annoying and old real quick.

I'm so sick of his BS. "New York Football Giants" Do they call them the Los Angeles Basketball Lakers or the Edmonton Hockey Oilers? Sid is a blowhard who caters to 70 year olds from the Bronx, and his act is tired and boring. The best he ever sounded was when OJ McDuffie was on with him on 790, and I think he wanted Juice's ouster because he was taking too much attention. Give me 10 hours of The Big O compared to 5 minutes of this douche.

There's a blog post over at The Phinsider that talks about all of Sid's issues. How does this moron even have a job right now? He's terrible.

I don't mind Sid Rosenberg but I will say I did not expect that interview to happen after Sid's interview with Omar Kelly.

SRM brought it up already but during that Omar interview he basically said that Brandon Marshall's interviews with Joe Rose and Jorge Sedano were terrible, and that he's thinking about canceling the scheduled interview because he doesn't want to interview Brandon Marshall if that's all he's going to get. That's when he said that he would be asking him questions like what was he thinking during the Darrent Williams trial proceedings or something along those lines. Sid kept waffling on whether or not he'd go through with the interview. I heard all this and I thought, you won't even get the chance to make that decision now. Someone close to Marshall is going to tell him to pull out, or the Dolphins will suggest it. I don't know if the Dolphins firmly told him not to do the interview, I think they probably just did Marshall a favor and informed him of the things Sid was saying about that interview. You would hope that someone close to Marshall would warn him but who knows if people close to Marshall were even listening to Sid with Omar Kelly to even know to warn Brandon. The Dolphins listen to every single one of these interviews though because they have something akin to a media sniffing department, so I think once they heard what Rosenberg said, they probably figured they would be doing Brandon a favor by warning him and suggesting that Brandon not do it.

Incidentally the whole first part of that interview was full of Omar Kelly uncomfortable nuzzling Sid's chocolate starfish because apparently Omar re-tweeted that Brandon Marshall was going to be on with Jorge Sedano and either Sid Rosenberg or someone else at WQAM must have been furious about it.

Omar slightly made up for that later by referring to Rex Ryan as Jabba the Hut.

I hate interviews for most part because its just basically fluff. The worst are local interviews because they are always afraid to ask any real questions. Stuff like Ronnie you are a great guy, how do u expect to do this season.

Based on what I've read. Sedeno's interview seemed much better than Rose's.

Sid is a hebrew comedian. His voice is funny, his POV & questions aren't.

Is there a way to hear that Sedeno interview?

I can't find a link on that site.
