Q: With the new personal conduct policy, do you think Joey Porter will be suspended for a couple games for his fight with Levi Jones?

A: Porter's status should become clearer after a May 14 court date in Las Vegas regarding his March altercation with Jones at a casino. Because it was a misdemeanor charge of battery, I don't believe Porter will be suspended for a game. That being said, the NFL is willing to make examples of players who get into off-field trouble a la Pacman Jones and Chris Henry and Porter's image could take a major hit if surveillance footage of the incident is publicly released. Porter apologized for the incident last Wednesday on ESPN and refused to comment further at last weekend's minicamp, which is probably a wise move on his part.

I do not think this is the case, he has been in and around trouble several times, on and off the field.

He got shot in the buttox.

He got shot in the *** and his dogs attacked and killed a small horse. I ask you: Anything else?

On the field he has had a few brushes, granted.

This incident, as far as I know, is the only issue, off-field, directly due to his own choices...

I could, however, be wrong... It has happened before...

I hope he is right about this one

Q: If Jason Allen was strictly a cornerback, would he have been the 16th pick in the draft last year? Wasn't he terrible last season?

A: Allen might not have gotten chosen quite so high, but he was one of the draft's top defensive back prospects after playing cornerback at Tennessee. The Dolphins are having Allen learn to play cornerback exclusively to help him become comfortable with the team's defense. Once that is done, Allen should have an easier time playing safety, which is a position that carries more responsibility because of all the reads required of opposing defenses.

let me tell you boys about principals office; if they leave the room for a moment lock the door behine them and get on the intercon and say school is dismissed.:sidelol: i did that and receive two extra days of detention . does this make me a good receiver ? i doubt it anyways the nfl 's principal is a little more money oriented.

Thanks for the link.
One of the more interesting Qs and As from the sun-sentinale article was the following
"Q: Why is no one talking about Stanford's Trent Edwards as the next Dolphins quarterback? Don't you think Brady Quinn will be gone when the Dolphins pick? Where do the Dolphins rank Drew Stanton?

A: I'm not sure who the "no one" is that you're referring to, as the Sun-Sentinel reported last week that Edwards, JaMarcus Russell and Brady Quinn are three of the quarterbacks who personally met with Cam Cameron and Randy Mueller on their respective college campuses. Edwards showed NFL-caliber tools during his college career at Stanford but also struggled with injuries, including a broken foot that forced him to miss five games his senior season.

Quinn's fate is one of the draft's most intriguing storylines. If the Browns don't select him at No. 3, Quinn could conceivably slide to the Dolphins at No. 9 in the same fashion Matt Leinart did in last year's draft. The only team selecting between No. 4 and 8 that seems willing to contemplate selecting a quarterback is Minnesota, but the Vikings used a second-round draft choice last year on projected starter Tarvaris Jackson.

But consider this: Even if Quinn slides to the No. 9 pick, there is no guarantee the Dolphins will select him. The Dolphins might have another player rated higher on their draft board – especially at a need area – and may think that one of the second-tier prospects like Stanton or Edwards is a better value later in the draft. Projections are that Stanton and Edwards could get drafted as early as late in the first round or potentially slip into the second."

I brought this up in another thread- although that thread appears to have been taken down by the mods or someone else . I agree that there is no guarantee the Dolphins will select Quinn even if he falls to number nine.

Im all for Staton or Smith, who could be of value later in the draft. Add to that we could even go for Kolb or Edwards, or the dark horse candidate in Chris Leak.

If Brady Quinn drops to 9 that would be a god-send for the fins and I garauntee that Cam would not pass that opportunity up.

we really dont need him getting suspended, that would look bad for a team that just payed this guy $20 million in guaranteed money, and he is suspended before he steps on he field.

i see there is another ben patrick fan on board. i say we take ben patrick and kevin kolb along with wr craig davis and selvin young and lets boost this offense and kick some jets ***** so whois with me ?:cooldude: :ninja:
