Working on the deep ball. Attaboy Ryan :brewskis:

Part of the problem with M.Wallace on the deep ball is that he plays "Coy" alot. Really hard to judge his top end speed and when he's actually gonna turn on the Jets.

Which I think really explains, outside of poor protection, some of the over and under throws.

Excellent, now all we can do is hope it pays off and Wallace puts forth more effort too.

Lazor should also tell everyone were ditching the go, go-go bs. Good god

Hope he does not get skittish with this at the same time

Man I'm so excited to see tanny throw behind a line that actually blocks.

while i agree the o-line protection was a factor on too many plays last year, those two had plenty of opportunities to connect and failed on both sides..

Terrible protection will make any QB skittish. If the line improves so does the deep ball.

OMG!!! The babe on your signature is nearly naked - a very good thing! Holy smokes! :hump:

I echo your words to the letter: Protect Tannehill first then the long ball will come. I sure hope that the threesome are on the same page now rather than later.

Thanks for the link Danny.

I usually enjoy reading Chris Perkins stuff. It is always more football related and usually more objective than hacks like Omar Kelly.

I never understood why Tannehill didn't just throw the ball 3-4 yards past the defender. Wallace is virtually always getting that much deep separation, and even if Tannehill is having trouble gaging Wallace's burst and top end gear with that 4.2 speed, surely Tannehill can gage the 4.5 and 4.4 of those DB's and throw it just a little farther.

Here is hoping Tannehill and Wallace find that chemistry this year.

Many of the deep passes took to long to develop....not sure if that was by design or other factors, hopefully these deep attempts happen a little earlier in the play so Wallace is catching it in the 25 - 35 yard range and not the 40+ yards range....much easier pass to complete.
