Dolphins | R. Williams expected to rejoin offseason program
Mon, 10 Apr 2006 19:43:36 -0700
Alex Marvez, of the Sun-Sentinel, reports Miami Dolphins RB Ricky Williams is expected to rejoin the team for their offseason conditioning program, now that his hearing in New York is over. ESPN reported the hearing lasted seven hours before concluding Monday night, April 10. The league is expected to rule on Williams' appeal before the NFL Draft April 29. If the appeal fails, Williams faces a one-year suspension under the NFL's substance-abuse policy.

Thats good news. But man I wouldn't want to be him, working out with the team with that hanging over his head all the while.

If he really didnt abuse the drug policy it wont be all over his mind, he will get over it just as Culpepper did with the boat party scandal...

Very true...that is if he's innocent. Lets hope he is.

Lets hope that Cornwell Said the right things to covince NFL

I too hope he wins! However, I don't think Ricky cares which way they decide. He'll be ready to go if it gets appealed, but IMO he won't complain too much regardless of him being innocent or not. He lives his life, his way, the way all people should view their own. But we can't get past the fact that he's one hell of a ball player!!!

Yea it's bad that he has to wait like that.

I still believe...he will be exonerated....BUT, I dont think Nick will keep him around much longer....Ricky pulled the pin off the grenade and we are just holding it a little longer...

i dont understand why they have to take awhile to decide...i mean i understand that this decision could end someone's career or sideline it to say the least, so it is a big one, but still its a yes he did, or nooooo heeeeeeeeee diddntttttt.

I think they already have an answer but they need to come up with some kind of punishment. I really dont think he will face a full year but he will get some kind of a punishment. Another 4 game suspension probably but thats only my opinion.

I dont see why they have to think of a punishment. Hes either guilty or not in this matter and its an all or nothing deal with the 4th offense i thought.

I truthfully dont think he did anything wrong. The man is such a flake that he admited to it last time and really dint care what people thought. Now hes saying he didnt do anything wrong. If he lies his lif his way as one poster said I feel hed come out and admit it. its just the way he is.

As far as Saban Holding on to him for a while longer, he only has one more year on his contract for us and theres not going to be that many people looking at him for very much next year even if he leads the league in rushing this year. All he needs to do is screw up once and another team is SOL. I say hold on to him as long as he wants to play and hes playing better then Ronnie.

REMEMBER US THE CHUBACKA DEFENCE, IT NEVER FAILS. iF CHUBACKA IS A WOOKIE YOU MUST EQUIT RICKKY!!!!

A 4 game suspension? Why? Ricky either knowingly took a banned substance or he unknowingly took it.

If they find that he took it, but was unaware that the banned substance was incorporated into what he was eating or drinking, he should be exonerated.

If he knowingly took it, he gets the boot.
