DOLPHINS RANKED #8 in total offense in the NFL

I agree with ya on Jones... he has been runnin good because everyone is playing deeep. but Im still not sold that Brett is gods gift to the Jets but well see after this week. As far as Miami #8 thats pritty crazy for not having probowlers on the Offense besides ricky.

8th in yards... 20th in scoring, though.

Our offense scores 21.3 PPG(ranked 20), Our defense allows 20.2 PPG (ranked 11th).

In 2007 by comparison:
our offense scored 16.7 PPG(26th), Our defense allowed 27.3 PPG (ranked 30th).

*******
The rule of 21 is that if you score 21, your offense played good enough to win. If you hold your opponent under 21, then your defense had a good day.

With a 21-19 victory, this was a pretty good example... I mean if Seattle gets 10 more yards at the end of the game and get an Olindo Mare field goal to beat us... we'd be talking about our disappointing defense.

Instead, with the victory, the talk this week is about that beautiful 40-yard pass from Pennington to Ginn in double-coverage, against a probowl corner. That was a thing of beauty to watch, btw. However, it seemed like a bit lucky.... perfect pass, great catch, etc...

Exactly, people get caught up too much in Penny's yardage, which comes a lot from screens and quick hits to the outside (basically a run). The only 2 long TD's I remember him throwing long on were both flea flickers. Stats can be very mis leading. I wish he could play as well in the 2nd and third qtr as he does the 1st and 4th!
