This is great news. Starks has been a great player for us and is one of my favorite Dolphins from the post-Marino era. He came from nowhere to become a playmaking force on the d-line. I didn't expect us to keep him because I thought he get too much money for his age. He didn't, and this is fantastic. Soliai was good, but he wasn't really a playmaker. Starks has the capability of making game-changing plays. I thought the era of good Dolphins DT's was gonna end, but I have every reason to think it will continue.
So much for Starks not being a "Philbin" player. At least somebody, maybe the HC or not, realized you have to have talent. Starks has never done anything to suggest he won't come in and play hard.
