I'm told by a good team source that the day the column published, coach Tony Sparano contacted Taylor. And the contact effort was two-pronged as the Dolphins have since reached out to Taylor's agent, as well.

Now, this does not mean Taylor will absolutely, positively, 100 percent be back with Miami in 2010. The Dolphins didn't call to offer Taylor a contract. But things are looking better than they did when I originally wrote the column and that is good news for Taylor fans.

Taylor obviously wants to return. If the choice were his, he'd be on the Dolphins now, today. But the Dolphins are not at that stage yet. They are still in draft mode and want to take care of that important business before resolving the Taylor issue.

But the club doesn't want to write Taylor off altogether. He still has value. Miami obviously wants to keep a good relationship with him until a final decision whether to bring him back or not is made.

That likely will not happen until after the draft.

What does FEH stand for
At my school we say feh or fye for something thats good like example...

Dolphins traded a 6th round pick for Calvin Johnson then you can say... Thats feh

Another example Dolphins trade 1st round pick for Jamarcus Russel and you say thats... Thats not feh

Its slang we made up lol

Makes sense...they are really busy with the draft and want no other distractions...knowing JT is willing to wait and I'm sure JT doesn't really want to go to "volunteer" practices at this stage of his career...looks like this will get done just in time for OTAs.

I think JT is gonna get signed, Bill & Sparano respect what is doing and will reward him for it. In today's NFL where everyone wants you to show him the money it is nice to see a player willing to wait on a team just to play for them. JT just earned a ton of respect from me, no matter where he ends up.

I've always thought we would resign him eventually. Chances are we'll be using two fairly high draft picks on OLBs, and everyone else on the roster is so unproven his leadership presence alone is going to be worth what he's going to cost, even if his body no longer allows him to be the pass rusher he once was.

I can think of no one better to teach these defensive end conversion guys than Taylor, especially since our new linebackers coach has more experience in the 4-3. Thankfully we have Nolan, who has boatloads of experience with the 3-4 going back to being a linebackers coach with Denver under Dan Reeves in the 80s.

that slang sound gey. LOL just playing around no disrespect to you pal

I have to say even though we been reading that he may not be a dolphin, it would shock the hell out of me. He is much needed vet of the Dolphins. Plus with starting at the position and playing then we wanted him to he did ok.

With Limiting Taylor's plays we can expect more from him. To add even though he is a vet player last year position change took a little to get use to, so a year under his belt should do something more for him.
