I'll believe in the plan when I see it play out. Haven't really liked the plan in recent years so it's up to them to show me different. Yes, lets see if they have a good plan!
So the question comes down to which QB's that are still available via Free Agency or the Draft do the Fins believe have the best potential to be Elite. Is it Flynn, Smith, Tannenhill or Weeden.
I think Weeden has the best potential to be elite but is also the most risky. I think the others have a good chance to be able to take care of an offense. Even though Flynn put up sick numbers it wasn't against a very good defense and they are Green Bay's offense and this is Miami minus Marshall.
Actually i believe we are in the best position possible. We have Moore as a fall back (good but not great) and our coaches KNOW the other QB's better than anyone. Philbin and Sherman worked with Flynn for years and have a pretty good idea of what he really is worth. Sherman was Tannenhill's college coach. At least for these two guys no other staff has as much info on them.
If Flynn their guy they will get him. If not he's not the QB they really want. If Tannenhill is their guy they'll do what ever it takes to get him including moving up. If not he's not the guy either.
Maybe they don't believe either one is the fanchise QB and they don't see one in this draft. If so bring in a vet to compete with Moore and take a pospect in the middle rounds. Build a solid team with few holes and use future picks to get the guy they want next year. Maybe a Barkley. I'll trust their judgement on this.
