Lazor hired as QB coach and Coyle returns to his DB coaching gig

I posted this in the coaching DB thread, but one thing I found out today is that supposedly the relationship between Tanny and Lazor got so bad that they almost came to blows on at least one occasion. He had an absolutely horrible relationship with Nick Foles, as well.

I wonder if the third time will be the charm?

Poor Andy.

Coyle is an excellent DB coach and an above average DC - the personnel has consistently gotten worse under Coyle but the expectations stayed the same... he was in a bad situation and finally lost his locker room... but his first couple years he was highly regarded. As a DB coach he will flourish, one of the best in the game.

I'm not sure about the above average DC!

Coyle and Lazor

Pretty sure I just saw they both went to the Bengals.... Haha

I think Coyle will do well in his old role. No more Philbin taking defensive timeouts like a twit, and better talent.

Lazor on the otherhand, who knows.

"Kevin Coyle is headed back to Cincinnati. And he’s bringing Bill Lazor with him.

Coyle and Lazor were the Dolphins’ defensive and offensive coordinators this time last year. Now they will coach the Bengals’ secondary and quarterbacks, respectively.

Bill Lazor as a QB Coach and Kevin Coyle as a DB Coach

I'd say the Bengals just took a step backward! Mind you, they're so fricken dysfunctional, it might be an upgrade for them

If Lazor and Coyle do well in Cinci and we still stuggle we know its the players BUT if its flip like we are hoping then its about time and I am ready.

Them bringing Coyle back doesn't shock me but them giving Lazor a job does.
