Thought he would stick for awhile. I guess they are giving him a chance elsewhere. Philbin getting down to business.

Good luck Preston

Yea, he failed to impress in 2 games. He had no shot. Limited on special teams.

Hazel, Aultman and Jones have the best chances.

Was thinking last night he had the great early camp but than we didn't hear much from him. Wonder if there is another move coming or just going to count towards one of the ealry cuts.

Had an amazing start to camp, but for the guys at the bottom of the roster you have to continue that then show up in games. Didn't show up and slowed in practice as it went on.

Interesting time to cut him. Thought the kid would end up on the practice squad, but honestly we didn't see much from him in games as much as we heard through TC reports and our ****ty beat reporters. Looks like if we go 6 it's Hazel, with Jones having an outside shot cause of ST.

Receiver Michael Preston tweets that Dolphins have released him. Hazel made case last night if Dolphins feel need to open season with 6 WRs.@flasportsbuzz

Hazel will be the guy, IMO

It's interesting how some guys have the ability to light it up in Training Camp but disappear completely when it counts. Preston is tall and athletic and took some freak catches a few weeks ago but the moment his opponent intercepted the ball on the sideline last night, I knew he was was cactus.

Hazel has earned his role on the team, and if someone gets hurt there we will just keep less WR's. It's possible the organization thought it would be more fair to release Preston now since he wasn't going to make it.

Supposedly looked great in practice but was invisible in both preseason games. Too many other young receivers on the team that have shown more. Wish him the best of luck.

There giving him a chance to stick somewhere else. Could have waited, but they know hazel if anyone will get the last WR spot.

Classy move my Mia staff, I hate to see teams keep there players hostage know damn well they are going to cut them, leaving them few options right before a season is about to start.

We need to see more of Jones. He looked quite good last night with limited opportunities. While the general consensus is that Landry handles the KR/PR duties, there is merit in having him just focus on being a WR. Christion Jones is probably mentally tough after the years in Alabama under Saban. I think he looks safe in catching the ball and seems to make decent decisions when to take a knee in the end zone from kickoff vs running the ball. At a minimum, Jones should be considered for the Practice Squad as a backup scenario to Landry.

Preston started out camp like gangbusters for the first few days and then he didn't do much of anything in the 2 games or scrimmage. Guess he fizzled out.

If we do keep 6 WRs to start the season we need to get long looks at Aultman, Jones and LaRon Byrd.
