Dolphins reportedly like Hayden Hurst, TE from South Carolina

Reading the tea leaves, I will not be surprised if Andrews falls to the third round. He’d be a steal there, though.
 
Those are the two guys that I'd take at 42 but I've seen Hurst in several mocks going top 32. Even if he makes it to the 2nd round we don't know if he'll make it to 42 but I'm hoping one of those two is there. As far as Nelson, he'll be one top 8. The OT I like him but going high on o-line once again is not what I want

Depends on what you want from your TE. He's not a seam TE like Goedert and Hurst. He's a slow 10 yards type of TE

Of course we do. We can’t stay away from the old rookies.

We drafted two last year. One worked out and the other will not make the team this year.
 
Age is a little overrated imo. Over the length of a rookie contract (4-5 years) he is still Sub 30 and that's when you can cut bait if you desire
 
I don't want any TE that can't effing block. I'd rather see that converted WR, 7th rounder we drafted 2 yrs. ago from USC play. He's as one dimensional as the rest but he's way smoother and fluid.

Dude - Did you watch the Combine? Hurst looked consistently excellent. Great hands, smooth athlete and he can block. I was initially wary because he was older, having played some professional baseball, but after watching them all, I concluded that Hurst was the pick of this year's litter and I hope that we can get him in the 2nd round.
 
Tannehill was 23 when he was drafted

I’m not buying hurst will go in round 1 at 25 years old

But I am buying top 50

Didn’t run well enough to offset the age in the first round
 
I was hoping for Gesicki in the 3rd but after that combine I don't think he makes it that far. Would be nice to have a TE that can block, but Hurst is about the only decent one there is. Apparently none of the other top 3 block for a damn. We need to sign a blocking TE in FA if there are any available. Not sure if Fasano coming back or not.
