Dolphins request decision from Brees

I was watching the 11:00 Sports Center and of course they had another story about us searching for a QB.

This time they said that Miami requested a decision by Monday night. However, since Brees headed back to Alabama without further discussion on Monday, this has been extended till Tuesday. Looks like today is D-Day for us in finding out weather or not we get Drew. Man I sure hope we do.
 
If not then Miami should deal their 2nd next year and just get Culpepper, mess around with his salary bonus lacking contract and sign free agents like no other.
 
I think it would be ridiculous to give up a second round pick for Culpepper. In all honesty, I think one of the biggest things that makes Brees so attractive is the fact we just have to sign him. He wouldn't require us to give up a pick. A second rounder is just a steep price, you can get starters in the second round of the draft. I would ok a second day pick, but not a pick on the first day. Miami really has all the leverage in this one, and I think if it comes down to it Miami will exploit that. Culpepper has made very clear that he wants to go to Miami, he's ruined a deal with Tennessee as a means to an end. I think Miami would be foolish to give up so much.

I say wait till he is released. This team needs all its draft picks instead of giving them away..
 
Im not so sure that ESPN has all the facts when it comes to Miami. I think they make crap up quite honestly. If we didnt even talk about money yet and only showed them around town and checked out his injury, why the hell would we put an ultimatum on him like that?

I think this is ESPN, Chris Bermiester Cheeseburger BS!
