I just figured as we are interviewing every HC candidate in the NFL at some circus level job fair, why stop there?

I get the point. Just feel that Ross keeping Grier has turned our HC vacancy into a much less desirable job that it would otherwise be. Kind of stuck spreading a large web and seeing who is actually interested first.

A lot of assistants and not many or ANY with head coaching experience are interviewing. If that's all we will likely hire another assistant to learn on the job at the Miami Dolphins new coaches training camp.

If we hire Tony D’Amato, we should try to acquire Steamin’ Willie Beamon too. Open QB competition with Tua.

I do wonder if keeping Grier will prevent them from being able to hire a top tier HC. While Grier certainly did a good job in the 2021 draft. The next HC has to be aware Grier has been here for over 20 years and has the ear and the support of Ross.

If the next possible HC wants more control over player personnel decisions, coming to the Dolphins might not be that appealing to him. While GM’s certainly want hire head coaches they feel comfortable working with. Head coaches also have to feel comfortable with the GM and the owner. Any HC coming to Miami has to see that Ross is a Grier supporter first and if it eventually comes down to Grier or him in the future, he will likely be the one shown the door.
