Very underwhelming signing. Yes, he has experience starting and can catch, but he needed to be replaced. Hopefully, Ahmed takes his role as well as a rookie.

He plays hard but is not overly athletic and terrible in pass pro. I was hoping he got a chance somewhere else where he could have a chance to carve out a career.

People really overlook the importance coaches place on players with a good head on their shoulders who conduct themselves professionally. One of my best friends was in the league for over 7 years primarily because the coach always knew he could count on him to run a drill correctly or remember his assignments 99% of the time.

To me, Gaskin strikes me as this type of player, someone the coaches can point out to younger players and say " be like him".
