Happy birthday to Bob and much respect to the team for honoring him this way 
This guy is most likely a WW2 combat vet. Somewhere like the Canal, Tarawa, Saipan, or Iwo Jima. Maybe Peleliu and Okinawa. He'd be interesting to talk with. If he'd share some of his experiences. I used to know a 2nd Marine Division veteran. BAR man. So, he was at Tarawa, Saipan, and Tinian. Deaf as a post, but I'm not so it was so cool to hear his remembrances of those times.

Years ago in the early 70’s I visited with a 97 year old veteran of the Spanish American War. Very cool.

if I ever make it to 100 I can only hope I look half as good as this guy.
my dad was a WW2 veteran but didn’t talk much about the war....once in a while he'd tell us something but those guys just went to war and "did their job" and that was it........no doubt in my mind, that was the greatest generation!!
