Dolphins restructure William Hayes deal

weird...cap hits of at or under $6 mil the next 2 years would seem to be a value

wonder if we extended him to retain his services longer

This FO really has no clue how to follow a consistent off-season model. There are all over the place in terms of either spending or being conservative in FA.

Just like Adam Gase doesn't know how to coach right? All aboard that excuse train.

Only big money "outside" unrestricted free agent that's been signed under Tannebaum/Grier was Suh. Outside of that, it's been taking care of their own who have proven themselves, and searching for value or short term deals with any anybody else.

We cleared $800K for this year... Cleared 5 million off next year

They also converted $2m into a signing bonus, thus resulting in more savings.... signing bonus is just a way to manipulate the cap.

WTF is going on? I'm sure there's a reason but I want to know what it is

Ozzy rules!!

Shhh. That's facts.

Is giving him free agency after 1 season in order to get a little more cap flexibility a little like being penny wise and pound foolish? Ya know, like the $1.5-$2mil more than offered to CJ Anderson that they could have given Miller before realizing what they had in Ajayi. ??? Sorry but I can't discern the benefit based on what we know about Hayes's skillset and work ethic. :dontknow:
