One specific play that occurred during the Miami Dolphins' rookie minicamp should tell you everything you need to know about what Pat White can bring to this offense.

White calls out an shift during 11-on-11 drills, moving the tight end from his left side to his right. Cornerback Sean Smith takes a step or two forward before the ball is snapped.

When the play becomes live Anthony Armstrong, a speedy wide out who spent all of last year on the Dolphins' practice squad, runs a takeoff.
Armstrong uses his Arena League speed to get behind Smith, who admits he peaked into the backfield. White throws a beautiful 50-yards bomb that has great touch on it. Armstrong catches the ball in stride and strolls into the end zone for what would have been an ESPN worthy touchdown.

So Smith got beat deep and White threw 2 int's? I say we cut both immediately!

I'd rather see White do something great involving Wildcat formation...
Otherwise, if he's so great at passing, why did we spend a 2nd rounder on Henne?

Or are we gonna do that stupid offense next year that the Canes used? QB by committee thing...one for passing and one for running?

I don't see White having any kind of future as a full-time QB in this league...he better learn how to run some routes....

Hate to burst your bubble but Pat White is here to play QB thats it. Get over it. Enjoy Sparanos rant on how he is here to compete for qb and nothing else.

Honestly, would you rather have a little faster version of Vince Young or someone who can actually throw the ball consistently in Henne?
Don't take me wrong, White is great and I would love to see him help the team this year and down the road....Just not as the starting QB, that's all

I hear you. His hight scares me too. But the kid throws the ball so much nicer than Young with twice the accuracy and touch. He also is a natural born leader and very smart, vince was lacking in both. If he were 3 inches taller he would have went in the top5 if not 1.

So if he is the best starting QB on the team you would rather see him play a different position?? Interesting. Very interesting.

who had the other pick i know vontae Davis had one on pat white who had the other one

Yeah, he's got the heart too.

I remember watching W Virginia's game last year where he got hit pretty hard....Didn't look like he knew where he was for a while...But anyways, the D got a turnover and scored and White grabs his helmet and starts running out on the field...The coaches had to pull him back and tell him the D has to go back out there lol....it was hilarious
He deff had a concussion that game but ended coming back and playing really well..

Just shows you he wants to compete and win...I like that about him

No, my point is how many scrambling QBs do you know that led their teams to championships in the past 10 years....I'm not saying he can't succeed, it's just the odds aren't in his favor... Guys like Vick and young McNabb are fun to watch, but they don't usually win championships...

I feel like he could be way more dangerous with having Henne at QB and White for Whildcat/receiver and big playmaker...He's like the X factor

Really like listening to these young corners. I think we got two very, very special players.
