Dolphins rookie Wright excels at linebacker

when JT took time off, Wright was working with the first team at the hybrid position.

He's got talent, he just wasn't productive until his senior year and Colorado was really bad so it's not like he was getting heavily scouted.

Awesome find. We need depth at LB for sure, and if this guy works out, it would be a great steal in the 7th round. Looks like he has good character as well.

awsome article, this really gets me excited that he is completely focused and that he is very mature for his age.
now i better get to bed. im comin to miami tomorrow!!!!:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

Wouldn't it be refreshing if it was Miami that finally got some talent from deep in the draft? I think we deserve it for a change.

this is the first time that I've heard that he has 4.6 speed

Okay, did I miss something in the reports or blogs..I didn't hear this about this guy,,for those who went to ota's and mini camp, can you talk about this guy and did he look this good..

Thanks for the link. I hadn't heard about his switch to LB... that could be huge if he pans out. I was much more concerned about depth there than at DE. We have great starters at LB but with their age you have to figure at least one of them might miss some time this season. Now if Jason Allen can develop at CB the defense could be scarier than last year.

This is certainly one occasion where I would love to end up wrong about a guy. I wasn't a huge fan of his coming out of the draft...I think whenever you can pick up a kid that had 10-11 sacks his senior year and you pick him up in the 7th round you've done a good job but I honestly didn't hold out much hope for him being anything other than a special teams guy because in college he was more an athlete playing DE trying to learn to be a good football player, and in the pros now you're asking him to learn a new position where he never fully learned the DE position as things stood.

But if he can surprise us that would be fantastic.

on one series of plays at minicamp he was in the backfield on every down. i was amazed how quick he looked.

Reading this post I was thinking the same thing. I would like to see all our draft picks make the team. We are starting to look younger and faster.
