Tunsil to wear 67. Sounds like a guard number to me.

The Dolphins rookies won’t be practicing this weekend during their minicamp, but they now all have jersey numbers to call their own nonetheless.

First-round pick Lamery Tunsil will be wearing number 67 when he first puts on his Dolphins jersey.

After wearing 18 and 4 at Baylor, second-round pick Xavien Howard will be wearing 25 with the Dolphins.

Third-round picks Kenyan Drake and Leonte Carroo also will be sporting new numbers, Drake going from 17 at Alabama to 32 and Carroo going from 4 at Rutgers to number 88.

Among other Dolphins draft picks, wide receiver Jakeem Grant will wear 19, defensive back Jordan Lucas will wear 21, quarterback Brandon Doughty will wear 6 and tight end Thomas Duarte will wear 83.

The jersey numbers for the 12 rookies signed as an undrafted free agents are as follows:

7-kicker Marshall Koehn
37-defensive back A.J. Hendy
40-defensive back Lafayette Pitts
43-linebacker James Burgess
44-linebacker Akil Blount
57-linebacker Tyler Gray
59-long snapper Ryan DiSalvo
64-center Ruben Carter
82-wide receiver Brandon Shippen
87-wide receiver Rashawn Scott
89-tight end Gabe Hughes
96-defensive end Farrington Huguenin

Finally, wide receiver Tyler Murphy changed his jersey number to 16 from the 19 he had received after signing a reserve/future contract with the Dolphins in January. Murphy wore 16 as a rookie for the Pittsburgh Steelers last season.

Linebackers wearing #'s in the 40's is something to get used to. I like 47 for a LB.

Love Caroo at 88. Old school receiver number.

I tried to explain to my wife that your number is a fashion statement, and she wasn't getting it. I think the reply was "Ok?"

Yep a number in the 60s reads like a guard to me...tackle in the 70s

drakes number says rb more than it does wr

Yeah 19 is brutal. I thought the same thing. Ginn is looking for a sideline right now somewhere. Or you could have a personality disorder. I believe Ankle Weights was 19. I'm having PTSD thinking about our past 19's.

Alonso is wearing 47 this year, his old college number.

I still love the receivers wearing the 80s numbers. Takes me back to the days of Duper, Clayton, Moore, Fryar, Mcduffie, etc.

Marshall was pretty damn good with #19.

Grant at 19 is fine for specials. No chance for him to Ginn it up there

32 used to be THE number for running backs (Simpson, Brown, Franco Harris). Not too many RBs with it now.

88 is such a cool number for CArooooo!
