Dolphins | Rosenfels Likely to Remain Backup
Sun, 23 Oct 2005 18:13:33 -0700

<A href="http://www.kffl.com/team/22/nfl">Miami Dolphins QB Sage Rosenfels is likely to remain the backup quarterback to QB Gus Frerotte Week 8, despite his 77-yard touchdown pass Week 7 against the Kansas City Chiefs. It could lead to a chance at starting sometime down the road.

was about ready to post the same thing...and if u go to kffl.com there are alot more other news...like Madison might not play, Tillman playing instead of Bell??

:yell: :fire: :yell: :fire: :yell:

I'm sick of Gus.

KFFL thinks Sage will probably be the backup? Where is the news here? Whoever came up with this one probably knows no more than we do about the situation...

If this is true. My next question is Saban related to Wanny ?

If Frerotte is sucking wind again, he will be pulled in favor of Sage earlier..

This is the smart thing to do in my opinion. Unless Sage totally outplays Gus in our upcomming practices, leave Gus in. No need to take a chance in a very winnable NO game. But keep Gus on a short leash. The second he throws a pick or his comp. % drops, Sage goes in.

If there was a time to make a change this would be the best game to do it.

that is true. sage would go up against the saints, a team that isn't good at all. they lost their star RB, and their QB is decent at best. The offense is average. There defense isn't that good as evidence by getting crushed by the packers and allowing the rams to come back on them.

that being said, this game would be perfect for sage cause the next two games after his are the falcons and the patriots and sending sage to start one of these games would be disatrous. it would be putting sage out to the wolves in his first start of the year. the saints dont have a defense like the falcons nor the offense of the patriots.

id rather put sage in against the saints than rather the falcons or pats and the next easy opponent is the browns in 3 weeks and i dont want saban to wait that long to put sage in. this game would allow sage to ease into the starting qb role and allow him to develop with his receivers, oline and rb's while not getting killed by a great defense.

i hope saban makes the right move this week. if not then NO is a loss b/c gus simply doesn't have it.
