Miami Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill apparently has bought a home in Fort Lauderdale.
Gossip Extra reports that Tannehill and wife Lauren have bought a 5,481-square-foot home at 420 SE 17th Avenue.
Public records show that the sale closed March 4 for $4.3 million, $200,000 less than the asking price. The buyer was a trust in the name of John Ufer.
Ufer is Lauren Tannehill's maiden name, and Gossip Extra says John is her father.

According to property listings, the 34-year-old waterfront home is in the Colee Hammock area, near Las Olas Boulevard. It was designed by a disciple of architect Frank Lloyd Wright.
The one-story home has four bedrooms, 4 1/2 bathrooms, a pool and a separate guesthouse with one bedroom and an exercise room.

Buying his wife's father's house? Interesting. Hope they enjoy it.

congratulations to the Tannehils. is this Jason Taylors' old house ?

I totally agree that it is disrespectful to announce a purchase like this on the internet, especially when it seems the tannehills tried to keep it under wraps with buying it in lauren's father's name.

I believe it is saying that Laurens father purchased it in his name to avoid press... which failed I guess.

Also mad props on the house number. Maybe 420 doesn't mean much to Ryan... hopefully lol

Can't believe they gave out all the details. Especially the address. Stay safe Ryan

Generally sales of all homes are a matter of public record. Connecting the dots back to the father in law is on the reporters.

True but I strongly doubt any of our submental beat reporters did this kind of digging. Imo it's much more likely they were tipped off, either by the agents or someone else who saw the Tannehills.

It is not JT's old house. I'm actually a realtor in the area. Kind of surprised that he didn't choose a home with a little more security. Huizenga lives on the other side of the river and Marino is down the block in a penthouse.

Suh's address was published on his recent home purchase and Ross' south Florida home takes about 10 seconds to find the address on a google search. Most of these high dollar homes are in a gated community so there's hoops to jump through if you really wanted to stalk them.

As to Tannehill's house, kind of has that Boogie Nights feel to it. He also must comfortable enough w/ Gase's backing to see himself staying in the area 2016 and beyond.

Looks like he his here for the duration. OK, lets go win a Super Bowl.

Tannehill's house isn't in a gated community. You can actually drive right by. There is a 6 ft wall though.
