The City of Fort Myers has settled a lawsuit that will pay
Miami Dolphins safety
Nate Allen $440,000 for being wrongfully arrested in his hometown back in 2015,
according to the Fort Myers News-Press.
According to the newspaper, the Fort Myers City Council met on Monday in a closed-door session and unanimously agreed to pay Allen a settlement that will keep the case out of court.
Fort Myers police wrongly identified Allen, a Cape Coral High product, as the man who exposed himself to a teenage girl after he was mistakenly pointed out in his vehicle.
